Why are people nominating Sam Burgess as a second rower? He's been lock virtually all year. Ditto Thurston who has been a five-eight for most of the year.

Is the NRL team of the year or just the SMH team of the year?

Hunt has been better than Soward. That is a joke.

TBF on Soward he was criticised heavily and most didn't give him much hope of performing while Hunt on the other hand had shown some stuff the previous year and there was some expectations on him kicking on from it. Both have been great this year.

How tough is it to settle on positions this year?

Some of them really feels like splitting hairs, hell, I think settling on a Top 5 for each position would be rough.

Could probably replace the odd name here, but I believe I've got most of the front-runners for each position.

Crazy how tough some positions are and how weak other positions are.

Halfback & Second-Row was a real struggle.

Vaughan is surely a top 10 prop this year. Ricky playing him off the bench and Faders general shittiness makes it harder to be recognised.

Also there MUST have been more than half a dozen locks better than Thaiday.

It's pretty close as far as props are concerned. Lots of quality front rows this year and there's a few I left off that would be ahead of Vaughan. Paul's had a good season, among the Raiders best but he just falls short for me.

Lock on the other hand is different. There aren't too many candidates who have really put their hand up and had a strong season. Thaiday has basically played the whole season there, played a senior role in his team's side.

It really doesn't matter all that much since there is one clear winner and you're more than welcome to contribute and draft up your own list but it is what it is.

No Parker? You Wot8?

He played prop most of the season, so... as awesome as I think he is, I can't put him ahead of GBurger, Matt Scott, Bromwich or Graham, so the decision was him or McGuire, and "The Big Show" just beats him imo.
