NRLQ [Round 5, 2026] - Broncos vs. Cowboys

Spectacular put-down from the Cowboys winger.

Couldn't see the ball, would have been an incredible put-down if he got it down but the touchie is satisfied.

34-4.

Even in the U/21s the Broncos can't regather goal line drop outs.

Bad spill from Tupuse.

Cowboys make a big break down the touchline but the Broncos recover to force an error.

Gee that was a soft set restart on Allen.

Cows go up for the kick, come down with it and appear to score but one of their chasers was ruled off-side.

Tupuse tries to take them on down the sideline again but is easily bundled into touch.

Cows with another opportunity to extend the scoreline here.

Beni Allen hurt again.

Cassidy is also off the field after Seve steam-rolled him.

Stretched out to make a tackle and got left on the ground.

Cows penalised for interfering with the chase while contesting a grubber and Brisbane survive.

Tackle 1 six more on Morcom.

Owen goes for a chip kick, it's charged down, Owen regathers and scores.

Third times the charm.

34-10 Cowboys with time ticking away.

Sorry Big Pete just saw this.

Scoreline didn't really represent the gulf between Broncos and Cowboys. If Walker didn't kick 3/7 that would have made it more accurate but beyond that the Broncos are physically so far behind the Cowboys.

McConnell tried hard but he's clearly frustrated playing for the Broncos. Lots of arguing and arms in the air and I have never seen him do that for Bears.

Lateo is a future Cowboys number 6. I love watching him play. Seve and Siale were outstanding. Broncos couldn't hold them at all.

Why do we keep losing these games and barely competitive? Anything to be concerned about?

The past couple of weeks the discipline has been all over the place. Gave away 14 last week and they weren't much better this week with Gundry being penalised in possession and binned.

Physically they're just getting rolled and when they do get their opportunities they're coming up with poor turn-overs. Either the last tackle options are poor or they flirt with the sideline and get burned.

I wouldn't say there's huge concerns. Francis, Verhoeven, P. Coates, Bukowski and to an extent Bryce and J. Shibasaki are playing up a level. Injuries also haven't been great with Horne, Kendall and Scott unavailable but still the star plays are struggling too.

Gundry is in his own post-code at the moment and doesn't play with his team mates. Poese was invisible, Tupuse was everywhere but outside of his miracle line-break assist down the edge he struggled with his hands. Waqa and Allen aren't asserting themselves like they ought to be as the veterans and the rest are still a bit raw.

It’s the nrl and the refs bias. We would win every year if we weren’t unfairly officiated. Every single other team gets a free pass and green light to do whatever they want when they play us.

The eye test was accurate.

Broncos 39% of the ball, 600 less metres, 114 more tackles, Cowboys only missed 16 tackles.

It was men against boys.

They took our jerbs !

Very good practice for joining the seniors.

Tupuse 7 Errors

One positive for the Broncos - 5 Linebreaks. Only two less than the Cowboys. The scoreline COULD have been worse, but in the end 34-10 was about right. Cows got a few tries they didn't deserve but the Broncos were never in the game.

Another telling stat

Total Passes Cowboys: 211 Broncos: 131

Brisbane didn't throw much at them.
