The team-list confirms that Paul Byrnes is out with a torn ACL injury. He's already had surgery but it remains to be seen when he'll be back on the football field.

In better news for the Broncos, Jonas Pearson returns from his arm injury and will line up in Byrnes' place.

Unfortunately, I can't see it making the difference. The writing seemed on the wall when the Broncos got smashed by Melbourne in the last round, and with no Byrnes, Taylor, Nikorima or Ofahengaue I believe they will bow out this round.

On the other side of the coin, it's all good news for the Warriors. With the Warriors out of the NSW Cup, star playmaker Ata Hingano returns at five eighth. In addition, bulldozing prop forward Bunty Afoa returns from injury and will partner Paul Tuli in the middle of the field.

If there's any good news what-so-ever, Broncos fans will have the chance to watch their sides first live Holden Cup game on FoxSports. 5:00pm on FoxSports 1, winner goes onto play Penrith in the Prelim Final.

Pearson still isn't training and won't be cleared until later in the week. Brynes had surgery today; long road now. He's had a great year.

If Pearson plays I think he can contribute from fullback, he played there a bit in ISC and wasn't too bad at all. He's very athletic.

Does anyone have the full team list of the team that ran out on the field last week?

Just replace Pearson for Byrnes and that was the team.

Warriors missed 50 tackles last week, it was a pretty typical Warriors finals effort in the 20's. Brisbane have only played them twice in finals for 1/1. So not much there.

Su'A could be a match winner this week, since he came back at the end of the season he's been strong metre gainer again. Tull and Afoa will take some stopping though.

Arrow is going to repeat last week; and get some support.

I really don't like Broncos chances, especially with no Taylor or Nikorima.
The past few games has seen Broncos miss 50+ tackles also.
Su'A won't bring much, Lavea is a big loss up front.
Arrow is simply Broncos best forward, Mtr Eater.

I think boys shouldn't be written off that easy. They got within 6 points of one of the frontrunners in the cowboys last week after giving them a 20 point head start. Will be harder without byrnes this week though. In my mind big games are needed from arrow, hipgrave, sua, berrell and Pearson. Drew had a great game last week and will be strong again. I'm with you 1910, before sua left he was one of the best consistent performers for us and enjoyed him last week. He can spark the middle and fringes. Sam Gee also good for us off bench and seems more consistant than Lavea. Lavea would have been handy for this game though. Lanskey, Fai and Collins will have their hands full with warriors front row but if we can keep with them, we can win. Let's hope our NQ cousins get out to support.
