Hiale's numbers looked really good - 20+ tackles, 120m+. Makes me wonder what went wrong in Brissie.
It's hard to say with Spaander. The game was only televised in NZ and the Raiders have been in awful touch. Considering they only scored four points, I assume he didn't set the world on fire.

Ponga is a beautiful mover- reminds me of Mullins. He doesn't seem to be moving fast or pull out any tricks he just moves through the line. He was good the other night. Type of knock where you look up and he's got 70 but you have no idea how.

It's a new era for the 20s.
They've lost Arrow, Berrell, Taylor, Nikorima, Drew, Byrnes etc. and you can't replace players like that overnight. Especially when you've got talent like Fauid, Te Rupe, Lavea, Alick, Hipgrave etc. on the sideline.
Lots of new combinations, lots of guys adjusting to the weekly grind and quite frankly there's a few who are punching above their weight but have been given a go for one reason or another.
