Not that we're not used to it, but we're bound to suffer some more pain during Origin...

Lockyer, Thaiday, Hodges, Inglis, Hannant are almost certainties, and with Gillett, Te'o and Yow Yeh in the picture also, we should look at our depth during the rep period in the coming seasons, otherwise we might struggle big time.

Although I hope Lockyer retires, then we might have a good chance during the origin period this year.

Hmmm... locky, thaiday and inglis yes. Hodges will have to somehow display tonga, which unless tonga is injured i cant see happening. Tonga is now the incumbent, and we know how much the selectors like to stick with the tried and tested. Hannant as well, he couldnt make the game for game 3 this year. With civo, shillington and scott the first 3 forwards picked, he is far from a certainty. I expect to see either Yow yeh, tate or vidot selected on the wing in place of folau (omg how much will it suck whenever a bomb goes up to the new winger, it used to be a certainty that folau would take it :( )

We will be sweet through origin, Te'o won't get picked unless there are mass injuries and Yow Yeh should not get picked unless every other QLD eligible winger dies of swine flu. If Hodges gets back to his best a big IF he will be back in Origin.

Vidot and Yow Yeh are both very good under the high ball

When Folau was injured last year didn't Tonga play on the wing and Hodges in the centres?

Yes. But that was nearly a season and a half ago, when Hodges was actually playing footy. It'll be a year out of the game when he plays next season, and in that time Tonga has had a very good season for a shithouse Cowboys team, and played an excellent Origin series.

Tonga and Inglis, unless injured, would be instant selections IMO.

Boyd on the wing, and then a decision who to play on the other wing.

The only way Hodges could possibly get a call up would be if he was absolutely KILLING it for the Broncos, and so they shift Tonga to the wing.

I can't see them doing it.

Drop Johnson, Harrison to start, Costigan to the bench and Taylor to the bench instead of Hannant. So pretty much exact same side as this year except Hodges in the backline for Folau (wherever that may be).

Point is - barring injury, it's only going to be Inglis, Hodges, Lockyer and Thaiday in the side as certainties IMO.

Everyone seems to have forgotten Tatey. Playing as well as ever atm and will probably force himself into the Aus side with no Folau, Inglis, Hodges and maybe another 1 or 2.

Hodges will need to come back strongly to overcome him IMO.
