Over G.I. ? Whats your back five for 2011?

Any thoughts on giving Norman some game time in the centres this year?

"Big problems". You're a bit dramatic. Gillett has a few lapses in defence here and there, but otherwise played very well in that position.

He had like two games there against two mediocre teams and was being shown up big time in defence...yeah I don't want to see Gillett there. I want to see him actually develop into a world class backrow.

i dont think Gagai's defence is up to playing in the centres.

I want to see

Hoffman
Kemp
Copley
Hodges
Yow yeh

Why? Teo and Gillett were outstanding in their stints in the centres this year.

No they weren't.

Gillett had big problems in d and Teó/Glenn had positioning problems.

Copley is a natural centre and before he was injured easily a class above anybody in the 20's. Gagai looks the goods too.

Copley would be no better in defence than Gillett would be and Gillett has got a decent amount of games under his belt now. I think he's a strong candidate for the other centre position.[/quote:24sldurc]

Big problems maybe not but still risky... I don't know... I'd rather use someone whose going to be there from RD 1 to RD 26.. I'm not really digging Gillett at centre because I want him in the back row - and I don't want to see the Centre position chopping and changing. Everyone is saying Copley but a rookie in the CENTRE position... well you'd be on your toes all the way to the GF... sigh. Need an experienced left centre.

I'd go with either Gillett or Glenn. This would free up a bench spot for Ben Hunt, because atm McCullough isn't up to playing 80 mins of FG footy.

If we are intent on keeping Hunt in the team (assuming Henjak will stick with Wallace at halfback) then we probably will have to see either of Glenn, Te'o or Gillett in the centres so I would say that's the most likely scenario for the first few rounds at least.

I reckon it would be Glenn in that case.

1. Hoffman
2. Kemp
3. Yow Yeh
4. Hodges
5. Gagai
6. Lockyer
7. Wallace
8. Hannant
9. McCullough
10. Tronc
11. Thaiday
12. Teo
13. Parker

14. Glenn
15. Gillett
16. Kenny
17. Anderson

I'd be happy with gillett or glenn in the centres but we gotta keep em there for an extended period. None of this chopping and changing sh*t we went thru last year. Seeing as though we have a plethora of backrowers/locks maybe henjack should sit down with teo, glenn and gillett and ask em who wants to play centre for 2011 [icon_shru as I think they would all do well.

I think Henjak will take the safe-ish option to start with and play Gillett or Glenn in the centres, with Kemp to be the likely inclusion on the wing. I wouldn't be too disappointed if that's what he went with, but I'd definitely like to see the likes of Copley and Gagai be allowed a string of games to show their worth at some stage. I'd much prefer Gillett off the bench or in the backrow.

We need someone fast. ffs.

I reckon Glenn will get the other centre spot from henjak. :|

It also gives Copley a year in QCup playing for Norths which I think would do him good (with the odd game for the Broncos here and there to cover for Origin, injuries or suspensions)

Yow Yeh would get totally raped in the centres...

Copley or Glenn IMO.

I like the look of Copley, he seems a very composed player. But the benefit of having Glenn out at centre is that we can fit Ben Hunt on the bench. But a definite no to Gillett, I agree with Big Pete, he's not mobile enough in defence and Yow Yeh in the centres would be hopeless.

A really left field move would be Hoffman in the centres and Gagai at the back.
