This is how bad the reporting is on this one.

yesterday it was "reported" that we low-balled Haas, offering him "significantly less" than his current contract.

today they're saying we offered him a "mega deal" worth in the vicinity of $1.3 million a year with ratchet clauses in case the cap goes up

Yeah I laughed my ass off at the claims we were low balling Haas. Please. Next they will claim the chicken sandwiches were the reason he wants to leave.

Looking like it’s a one year deal (which is what he was going to get with us) but he will have the option to either stay, renegotiate for more $$$ (which we know he loves) or leave and assuming he will then go to r360…..

Sending my thoughts and prayers to rabbits fans that will have to deal with the circus that Payne and Co will bring onto them every time there’s a renegotiation lol It honestly wouldn’t even shock me if in the middle of next year Mr Merhi starts spreading rumours of Payne wanting to leave to bump up his pay again.
 
The Dally M thing is a bit flawed, if you're the only half decent player in a shit team, you'll tally well every single week. Ponga won the entire thing despite Newcastle being shit, I think it actually says more about Souths that Gray was actually leading the Dally M's if that was the case.

In his defense, this was changed in January. It was doing the rounds then. Apparently it’s a new name in his religious circle and religious events only, not legally changed.

in fact he said they had a board meeting yesterday and decided against trying to get him to backflip

he's also still trying to sell the Broncos are in crisis though. and according to Dobbo, Broncos fans are "pissed off" they lost Haas

plus he's on the Madge is too tough. before admitting it was what won them the premiership
