Their team is starting to look at least competitive if these signings occur. They just need a big fish. Not sure who it could be other than Tino but he is likely off to Melbourne.
 
I wish this sport would expand properly. This is just going to be another fake QLD team, spreading talent even thinner instead of setting up systems and having players from the area prepared to play first grade rugby league. I already hate them and they haven't spent 25 years stealing our players yet.

No idea. But WA has a fully fucntioning junior system, so to suggest they don't is not correct.

Hey I wonder if you’re just cherry picking the words “setting up systems” instead of the whole sentence. Seems like you have misunderstood what was said entirely. I hope their juniors are ready to go in 2027!

Yeah he’s a good player. Have got a couple serviceable squad players now. Will be interesting to see if they can land that 4 or 5 higher level player though.

I could see them going after most of our off contract players: Paix or Walters at hooker. Shibasaki and Arthars are solid first grade backs. Duffy for backup half or even Hunt or Reynolds for a season if they decide to play on another year.
 
They should go after Shibasaki, Arthars and Paix or Mozer from us.

I'm really hoping they land Tino. Would love them to chase Paps.
 
There are lots of good off contract first graders to go after. Just not elite players. They might do similar to the Dolphins and sign some established older first graders (Bromwich Bros, Kaufusi etc) and young talent underneath (Katoa and Bostock) and add to their squad in season 2 (Farnworth, Flegler, Averillo). First year options could be:

Marquee signings are overrated anyway - just ask the knights or even Titans.

They're better off getting players who can buy into the style and culture that they're trying to develop.

A team of superstars vs a superstar team and all that.

His Qld team was a team of superstars, so he probably does want that haha
