Refs were rubbish, that last penalty is outright fucking criminal, and the Broncos played like busted assholes.

At a minimum that game should have went to golden point. That was a knock on and a try. Instesd the Raiders get a penalty and a 10 minute break while they were gassed and barely holding on.

Incredibly frustrating game to watch in every facet. Everything from Atkins deciding the result to watching the clunkiness of the Broncos in attack.

Reynolds practically begging for a penalty and not getting it was the story of the night. Nothing was ever going to go right, and then the refs decide the result because the sight of blood scares the **** out of them. This comp is doomed if calls like that become the norm. Taupau could do literally nothing about the situation he was put into and I don't blame him at all.


Our front row pulled a Canberra on Canberra, as in most of them took the night off, especially Carrigan. Probably close to his worst game as a Bronco. Same with Herbie who also had a shit night and Mam who was once again quiet as a mouse. Ahwell, it's a test of our resolve from here. This is exactly the sort of result that led to our collapse last season. Will they crack the sads about it? Or actually address their issues?

I think that has to be the worst refereed game I've ever seen. It was literally that bad, I don't know if it effected the result or not because the shit calls went both ways.

The Rapana issue at the end, that should have been a try. It was accidental contact and Rapana dipped his head, but Atkins even got that wrong and ruled knock on, but it's the first knock on in NRL that you aren't allowed to play on?

I love how Reynolds cops a swinging arm and Atkins ignores it, then penalizes us for far less down the other end not 20 seconds later.
I hate that there is no accountability for poor reffing in this game.

Raiders played gritty determined footy and probably deserved the win in the end, but it came cheaply through poor reffing.
