POST GAME [PREMIERS, 2025] Broncos vs Storm

Haven't posted on here for a long while. Had a tough year with my mental health, but this season for 80 minutes a week this team has helped distract my mind from the rubbish. (Even the defeats). The win today was amazing. Still buzzing 4 hours later. Luckly over here in the uk I have all day to calm down because would be buzzing all night otherwise. Just want to say thanks for the everyone on this forum for helping me get through the season. Although I don't post reading everybodys thoughts makes me feel like part of the family. Even if I am not! Anyway what a win! We are the champs. Come on you Broncos! Enjoy your summer. Lets go!

^^ Where our Premiers banner at? We gotta brighten the place up a bit!

All the players did their role, and Walsh's game will be talked about, but a bit of an unsung player tonight who rarely gets wraps was hetherington. For a player better known for his defence, He made really good metres and generated good momentum with quick play the balls.

Two tries (walsh's and shiba's first) were directly off his quick play the balls, and walsh and ezra could attack a retreating defensive line.

That was a solid team effort. Talty, Arthars, Cobbo, JHunt, Jetski, Mozer, BTK, all did their jobs too, and I reckon they deserve some credit as squaddies. It's great when a coach has depth to plan around, as well as fall back on with injuries. Billy Walters definitely deserves a ring, as he was clutch in the lead-up, and Talty was immense when he got the call up. Some of the lads who were plugging holes, especially when some idiots were being suspended for stupid mistakes, also need to be applauded.

Looking forward to the competition for spots next season, honestly. Should be pretty interesting where we go from here.

Walsh insanity aside, Mam was not far behind him. Some of his defensive moments were so pivotal and it was the 2 of them that took over the game together. Mariner a phenomenal performance too.

In a weird twist of fate, I don’t think we win that game if Reynolds doesn’t go off injured, which gives us a lot to think about.

Walsh, Mam and Haas are the core of a young team that could win 5+ premierships together. I know it’s way too early, but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we went back to back next year, but I think we’re better off without Reynolds in the team.

Side note… what an amazing way to cap off an inspiring comeback story for Shibasaki too. Great stuff
Did it the hard way...walsh. ezra patty payne.....amazing!!

I still can't believe it's real. I've gotta pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming.

This video I'm going to make is going to be a joy to make.
The material you'll have from the last 3 games.... Canberra knife edge finish. The Panthers and all the history there. Then the Storm, everyone had us written off. Might just be the best finish a season I can ever recall.

Hetherington has been underrated player for our squad for a few years now imo. Had a great game tonight got through the line a few times as well

Walsh is 23. Man is 22. Haas is 25. Carrigan is 27. If Broncos can lock these boys up and they all stay hungry to win premierships Broncos is in a phenomenal spot for many years to come. Madge has completely turned around the club in just one year, I don't want to get too crazy with predictions but I really can't see why this squad wouldn't go back to back/ dominate for multiple years if they stay hungry for it. Time will tell

And remember.

Storm had two extra days of rest and recovery over us.

This is the best GF redemption arc ever in like 5 different ways.
Not going to ref blame...but ffs we got no favours....old boys broke...peeks hia....**** me! did it tough. Reece wanted it . but Ez Patty and Payne were immense..Whole team stepped up... What a ****in day. Watched in Munich
