Mariner's end to the season is I feel criminally underrated by the media, he's gone almost completely under the radar but geez he had some absolute genuine clutch moments. Yes Reece deserves the focus, he literally dragged us to the trophy, but without Mariner doing what he did a couple of times we also don't get there (yes I know, we can say that about most of the boys in the team, but still).
The Canberra intercept.
The Penrith bulldoze.
Smashing Coates.
Along with his epic carries from the back and supporting breaks on the edges in the middle third of the park... He's a deadset superstar, has completely redeemed himself and put to rest my fears that he's naturally talented but too much of a space cadet to make it long-term in the NRL. The situational awareness for those big plays when it mattered most...the kid is good.

If you time travelled from the end of 24' to the end of 25' and you only had team lists, scores and statistics to look at, you wouldn't believe it. You'd be wondering wtf happened. I've seen the footage and I'm still wondering myself
