Gee he is complex and overcome some stuff, concussion issues and mental health issues.

Took a pretty keen interest in him now for a while since his 188 against the Bulls, I like that he's improving and staying around cricket longer. His SS career has gone 1 game, 3 games and then last year seven with a handy 50 in the Final you'd hope this year he can get 10 games and a 1000 runs.

I think being away in England around the Test guys this winter has helped him too, I liked that on the A tour he moved around the order and found different roles and a 100 too.

He had to be rested last year after his big batting 200 against WA so interesting to see if he plays again this week after 100.

His 12 games over 4 years now has yielded 20 innings and 1023 runs at 56 with four 100's and three 50's. He's the seventh fastest Victorian to 1000 runs.

After 15 FC games.

Pucovski- 1062 runs- Av 46, with four 100's and HS 243
Smith- 1112 runs- Av 50, with four 100's and HS 177
Ponting- 1095 runs Av 45 with four 100's and HS 125

I watched him pretty keenly last week and his set up is a bit different leans towards mid on but he is very still at delivery same as Smith.

Big summer ahead and hopefully 10 games.

Hopefully a few Test matches to round it off ay? He's comfortably the best prospect in the country at the moment, if he's in form, we've gotta throw him in the deep end imo.

I think the way he has responded every time something big has happened, including the Test inclusion this year has shown he's better off not being included yet. It's taken four seasons to play 12 games. He needs 1000 runs in the Shield and backing it up every week.

He’s asked not to be considered. I’m all for him getting himself right but maybe he just doesn’t want to be a Test cricketer?

It certainly seems like he may just not have the mental strength to get there. Shame but it is what it is.

Knocked out again running between the wickets for CA v England.

Seriously?.. How?

This dude is going to have more concussions than Martin Lang at this rate.. You genuinely see someone get concussed in cricket like once or twice a year, this guys been concussed what, 4 or 5 times now?

According to a article I just read, this is his eighth concussion

That's almost impressive, I don't know how anyone could possibly be concussed that many times playing a non-contact sport with helmets designed to reduce most of the impact on the brain when struck.

Maybe it's just not meant to be for him..

Reminds me of an old mate of mine. We were driving along a busy road somewhere on the Northside doing 60 odd k's windows down and a rainbow lorikeet flew straight into the side of his head while he was driving. I've never heard of that happening to anyone even once but a few years later it happened to him again, but this time it was a willy wagtail. Birds just didn't like him for some reason lol.

I couldn't remember them all but found this from a while ago.

Debut he dived and got smacked in the head and was subbed off, and had six months off, Abbott pinged him last season he was replaced during the game by Christian, Bulls got him and he had delayed concussion and was sick again.

Futures league game last year hit side of the head by Tasmania and subbed off too. He had three his debut Shield year and they said no more he couldn't even study he was sick.

This time he was running and his bat got stuck in the ground and he fell forward and hit his head.

He's the next Pat Cummins, but with the bat.
