Queensland Bulls 2017/2018

Could they have made it any more complicated lol

It was to encourage fast proactive cricket, so teams didn't just take the two points first and consider 6 second.

Burns 15 in each innings for the twos.

5/43

A chance here if we can get two hours with no rain.

good to see Cartwright still out there. Obviously want Qld to get the win but Cartwright just seems to have fallen in a hole of late. Can Renshaw go to SA and arrive there in time? Or hope SA bat first and then he can arrive for the second innings.

6/50.

Incredible game that it could end in a result.

Gee got to think batting with Burns in Cairns and him getting 200 and getting 50 before the break than the break has helped Renshaw.

Pre Carins. 17, 16, 1, 19, 16, 1, 18, 7 and 4. 99 runs at 11.

Cairns. 51*, 56, 32, 170, 0, 112, 12, 143*. 576 runs at 96.

Can someone explain to me why wa declared in thier first innings when they were still 52 runs behind?

They needed to get six points. Pushing on and getting a lead was no good means Bulls would have to bat longer to set them a total. Bulls set them 309 from 59 overs.

Somewhat doable if they batted really well. But it wasn't going to happen if they kept batting to achieve nothing.

Border, Hayden, Kepler, Burge and Ogilvie only Queenslanders to get three or more 100's in a row in a season- now Renshaw.

Hayden was the last:

November 4th 1993 v New South Wales 173
November 25 1993 v South Australia 165 and 116.
December 31 1993 v Tasmania 121 (batting at 6 and gets it off 139 balls)
January 13 1994 v Victoria 126 and 155.

Six 100 in four games.
