CRICKET Queensland Bulls 25/26

He's Matt's son. Elliot, Perry and O'Neill are the reason Victoria are where they are on the table.

I heard of Elliot last year as one to watch .
He keeps taking wickets .

Oneil is similar to a cpl of the Pommie medium pacers in recent ashes .
Could be very handy in NZ / S AF / UK . But like I said earlier not tall and not quick .

That kid who debuted for the Bulls looks real interesting to me .
Big strong kid . I like his action .

Jem with the gem to get Handscomb- how good on debut at the MCG and you bowl a Test player when your team needs it.

Handscomb knew he'd been done too- bat under the arm and walk off.

Then follows it up getting Perry.

Qld win by 36 runs.

Brasher showed some real fight to stay around but it was too much. He was "12th man" for Australia a month ago and now making his debut for Victoria.

Great tail wrapping up by Qld. Both Vic's losses have been against Qld.

Burdon MOTM.

Great win by the Bulls with a few standout performances from young guys which is a great sign going forward.

Burdon 43 in each innings in tough conditions. Straker with match figures of 7/75 and Jem Ryan with a fantastic debut picking up 3 wickets and only going at 2 an over.

Whitney stress fractures in his foot and season done.
Gurinder out for the season with a knee complaint.
Vidler not playing at all.

Add to that Steketee who is out for season as well. Is Bartlett available for any more Shield games?

3 more rounds to go - hopefully Neser can play allof them. What about Wildermuth? Straker and Ryan you would think would be "managed" at some point.

Wonder if Tom Balkin will get a Shield game. Maybe Floros, Geyer etc might be needed if they think Straker and Ryan need to be rested.

What got the ton for the 2nd XI? The scorecard is blanked for that person. Sam Skelly with 13 wickets for the match.

Botha said they might need to turn to some club fast bowlers if they have any more injuries - good timing from Skelly taking 13 wickets in Second XI. Gets his name at the front of the queue.
