Q-CUP Queensland Cup 2021

This Suualli kid is far too good for NSW Cup. He reminds of a young GI when he would suit up for Norths. Sam Walker is another one who is ready for the big stage.

Where are you watching it? Kayo? I want to watch our kids run around but can’t find links.

GI was a freak in ISC, I was in Brissy then and loved going to see games with him in it, you just knew he was going to be a superstar.

Looks like ISC website will be streaming Souths Logan vs Tweed

EDIT: Oops looks like that is MM cup ... Round 1 of ISC next week... assumed it was this week given NSW ISC has started this week

I feel like the Roosters probably need a few more players who are too good for NSW cup at 18.

They’re doing the right thing not playing him. Remember the injuries GI sustained to his growing bones/joints because he was smashed when he was 17. Hip and back injuries. probably shortened his career at the back end!

Inglis only played six ISC games his first year at 17- he was still playing Colts for Norths. His second year in 2005 was 12 games of ISC.

They did take him pretty slowly.

do they have a different rule regarding the age limit down there or have they made an exception for Suualli

He had growing pains tho, iirc and so did Hayne? 🤔

Not sure about Kayo but it was on Fox. Used to attend Q cup games solely to see Inglis play. You could tell that he was something special. I think the same about Suualli. He's 6'5, lean, fast, clever and leaps like Izzy. Shame he's not in the Bronco's system.

Let's try this again.

Even though there is no fantasy competition for the Queensland Cup or NSW Cup, the player stats will still produce a fantasy score based on the data. It largely gets ignored but I thought it'd be a fun easy way to keep track of each competition in a language a few SC enthusiasts understand.

NSW Cup Fantasy Team of the Week

1. Caleb Aekins (Raiders) - 40
2. Edward Aiono (Jets) - 56
3. Harley Smith-Shields (Raiders) - 85
4. Izack Tago (Panthers) - 69
5. Christian Tuipulotu (Sea Eagles) - 53
6. Cade Cust (Sea Eagles) - 111
7. Braydon Trindall (Jets) - 75
8. Alex Seyfarth (Magpies) - 80
9. Tom Starling (Raiders) - 101
10. Andrew Fifita (Jets) - 74
11. Jackson Ford (Dragons) - 65
12. Scott Sorensen (Panthers) - 60
13. Zac Saddler (Sea Eagles) - 87

14. Jake Simpkin (Magpies) 86
15. Tukimihia Simpkins (Magpies) - 84
16. Billy Brittain (Dragons) - 83
17. Toafofoa Sipley (Sea Eagles) - 70

Jack Howarth named for his ISC debut. Interesting at centre not second row. I think with Piakura he’s the best young second rower around.

Wynnum- Arthars, Kennar, Robati, Palasia and Luke
Norths- Walsh, Copley, Gamble and Piakura
Souths- Tass, Hetherington

With the Storm isn't he?

Nanai is another player I like the look of as well.

I was pretty disappointed the Broncos missed out on Howarth presuming he was a local player out of Brisbane Boy's College. Obviously I would have still liked to have signed him but finding out he's actually from Rockhampton made me feel less upset.

I think it's a real concern of the Broncos that a lot of the best Queensland talent doesn't come out of Brisbane.
