Cleary's argument that he wasn't given a HIA and the trainer didn't call for a head assessment or the independent doctor is interesting.

Is this just not giving more power to players staying down? Especially at finals time?

I doubt him staying down would have changed the outcome in this instance, but still.

Sure, I've never claimed this though, so not sure what point you are making. I literally mentioned it about Walsh as a recent example. We benefitted with Hodges back in 2015 as another clear example and Piaks should have been binned in the Gf for a clearly late shot on Paps.

Doesn't change any of the irrefutable claims about inconsistency and some teams are definitely favoured over others.

The funny thing about that though is that the train wreck that is Annersely said the better teams get penalised less at a time when we were comfortably the most penalised team despite running in first place. So you can't even say that teams doing well get breaks because it isn't even true.

Your team got the rub of the green for years not because of JT but because the NRL was trying to make up for the 7 tackle mistake that knocked you out of finals.

We werent knocked out of the finals because of a 7 tackle play. It was obviously bad but it wasnt the reason. Teams get bad calls all the time especially early in games which it was. And the fact you think that we got calls going forward because of that is just ridiculous. If that was the case we would of got the foran hand call in the sea eagles final after. So referees are in a room and are told by administrators to give us calls because of a bad call years prior? But they just missed that one the year after?

Shit makes no sense. Conspiracy nonsense and I don't understand why people with views like this even watch if you think its rigged like that. Why even bother? Its just reasons and excuses to say whatever the **** you want to back up something that you don't like.

I am guilty of it myself. Said it about the Panthers for years with referees . Doesnt mean I was right. I just had a bias against certain players and their style in their early run of the dynasty. Their fans will say they don't get the rub of the green. Its just biased people yapping. Same with you guys about the ref in the hull kr match. I didnt see a problem with the 10m and speed of the line. Broncos fans on here did. And yet I saw people on social media sayng how well it was refereed compared to the nrl and how it was allowed to flow. I got no idea what to make of how each party views different things.

That is true but it would have nothing to do with the perceived injustice of an extra tackle from over a decade. So because that happened they wanted us to get the benefit of the doubt? Like I said why would they have missed the foran hand. Why would they not "pay us back" by letting the rob lui knock on go when it was subjective. So they are helping us out but only that way?

Have you seen us defend the last 5 plus years and the makeup of our teams? No shit we are never penalised. We don't stop anybody to hold them down long enough or have line speed enough to get punished. We have stunk defensively for the majority of the time. I wish we were penalised more. Great defensive teams push the limits.

The Lui knock-on was (correctly) called immediately and the play was dead, it was only after "were they just robbed a THIRD time???" that the ref got a call that they had to review it, and no matter how many times they looked at it there was no possible way it could have been called anything other than a knock on. But boy did they try.

They dined on it for that long that I am certain the "the Cowboys always get robbed" mentality culminated in that disgraceful call against the Tigers where the game was called but serial diver Feldt appealed he'd been obstructed. They got the penalty, won the game, and despite how bad that call was, the NRL's own argument of "we have a duty to go back and review the entire play" was come undone when footage later showed that the Cowboys were way offside on that kickoff, ie, that same play, that they didn't actually go back all the way to review...

You are right. The foran hand was 2012 and the 7 tackle set was 2013 and the lui knock on was 2014. Its irrelevant anyway. We werent robbed on any occasion. We just didnt have it go our way on those nights. Especially the roosters game. It was a clear knock on and when you go down 30-0 you were not very good anyway.

I could pick out games where every team over the years has got great calls in games. It happens. They **** up.

I remember the 2016 titans broncos finals game. That was one of the most one sided refereeing performances I have ever seen. Thats where the Gerard Sutton broncos shit started. He was canned the next week. Everyone gets their turn. You just hope its not in the biggest games which it rarely is.

Eels is laughable. Will be much improved but not even remotely Premiership material.

Edit: Other than Penrith and the Roosters (could be unreal or very average) the only thing stopping us from going b2b or being in the hunt for it is ourselves imo.

I dunno (re: Eels) - they were getting much better towards the end of the year, especially with Moses back. They won 7 of their last 9 (including that win against us) after his return.

I think them and Penrith have the most potential to spoil our run. They seem to be the only teams who have any (limited) success in stopping Walsh - and that's were the rest of our spine needs to stand up.

Roosters I'm not so sure on. People are thinking way too much of DCE. It's Walker that will be the key for them.
