I didn’t see the first half but that was pathetic. I feel sorry for all the fans that rocked up and received a fat 0 for their effort. I’ve had a crap week so I’m overly angered right now. Thank goodness it’s round 1???

I appreciate you condolences. Glad that only cost me twenty-five bucks. I'd have hated to have paid full freight.

We'll be fine. It's a long season. People act like every game is the end and it'll never get better, even with recent evidence to the contrary.

You don't win prems in Smarch.

The worst part is I have to endure another week of Braith and his "this story just won't go away" crap.

Too much dropped ball just killed us.

I have never seen a player lose the ball forward in a tackle, then the video ref not only give them the ball back but also let them keep their challenge that they clearly lost. Whatever they are smoking in the bunker I want some as it is obviously decent.

Paix passing game from dummy half was beyond poor. Reynolds was just dishing the ball out sideways and the defence know he is a zero threat of running. Goski needs to go back to Q Cup and only be called upon in an injury crisis.

Hopefully that is our shocker out of the way for the year.

On Walsh, teams have picked up that he is going to give a face ball to the centre and go long to the winger hence the intercept. If he would have gone short to Staggs he was away.

On the one sided shit Fox commentary I now remember why I started watching games on 9 at the end of last year despite paying for Kayo.

I agree with all that I think my mood and the zero was too much today. I was begging them just to get any kind of points but hey bring on next week mate.

Said in the pre game thread I thought the WCC would bite us in the ass.
Someone tell me why we put so much into that game? We look so far off where we were last year.
Abysmal
Yepppp
I said I wasnt a huge fan of the WCC at all and some ppl were like SUPER KEEN on it.
For those of us who lived the 19 year drought, all we want is more titles in our lifetime… and with this team… our best premiership capable team in a decade… and we shoulda just really laser focused for back to back

We can still do it obviously but geeez…. We need to learn to stay in it with the panthers/storm… if we are tryna pull the rabbit out of the hat this year it wont happen…

She'll be right.

We are very much a team where tonight is possible at any point. Which is very disappointing considering the level of experience in our senior halves and their inability to reign that shit in.

Cheap tries and just kept compounding them with errors. Scramble def the only bright spot, as again too many points conceded off kicks.

Still bitterly disappointing, especially being there for the team to dish that up as first run out as premiers.

Paix was terrible (service was ****ing horrendous)
Bhunt terrible (4 times he kicked early and not once did anyone know it was coming)
Mariner terrible (not sure he caught anything contested... that will be everyone's target all year)
Riki terrible (multiple drops)
Staggs terrible (multiple drops that led to points)
Gos terrible in defence and non existent in attack

A metric shit ton to do across the board.

Team looked clunky as **** in attack.

Felt our defence held up reasonably well, but panthers errors let us off the hook so often... the score could've been a cricket score

That wasn't unexpected but doesnt change the fact it was very uninspiring.

I think deciding to head to the world club challenge could really cost us. When you already have your key squad members only starting pre season in January due to end of year internationals, then you basically lose 3 weeks preparation because your travelling and focusing on the WCC. Add to the fact the extra players you take to the WCC that don't play don't get any trial games as well.

It really makes for a disjointed start to the season.

I wouldn't be suprised if we start 1 from 5 or similar before we kick into gear.

Im sure Madge will give them a good moutfull and follow it up with a flogging on the training paddock. But tonight is likely a good bring back to earth that was needed.

Smart money is on a blatantly manufactured Panthers v Bulldogs GF to maximise growth in the Western Sydney market
It'll be funny if it's MElb v Penref again and the storm lose a 3rd straight GF in front of the worst ever GF crowd (at Olympic Park) and with rock bottom TV ratings compared to '25.

I don't think even a 2014 rabbits ref job could carry the dogs spine/ pack into the GF
