Round 1 Discussion

I can't believe it took them that long to come to that decision.

You could clearly see on the front on angle that it was no try.

That's a send off, isn't it?

That tackle is worse than Gavet and the shoulder but will get less weeks.

Moses showing Nabuli how it's done..

Badger is the second best referee in his marriage.

Ashley Klein is the only ref who would have the balls to send someone off for that.

Taupau.. Silly penalty and at a bad time too.

Richards showing how good he is with the boot nailing a field goal to win the game.

If I'm not mistaken a few years back in the ESL he kicked a field goal from the sideline to win the game, so he's a lethal field goal taker.

Apparently it's even hotter in NQ tonight than it was in Brisbane on Thu. Lets see how two of the best teams in the comp handle it.

A good finish to a terrible game.

This is the game I've been waiting for.

You would hate to get into a kicking duel with Pat Richards. He's one of, if not, the best in the business and he showed it there.

That was a better effort from the Tigers. They cleaned up their completion rates, came up with better last tackle options, built more pressure and it was enough to get them the victory.

Really disappointed in Nate Myles and Ryan James. The Titans really needed them to step up but both came up with crucial errors at poor times. It's hard to motivate the younger players when the senior are coming up with such bad mistakes.

I knew the second Myles knocked that on that Richards was going to win it for them, he's easily the most clutch player in the game in terms of last minute field goals / goal kicks / kick-offs etc.

My tips are

Broncos - no reason needed
Sea Eagles - too strong regardless of the current crap surrounding their halves
Warriors- Johnson and Co to wreak havoc on the knights and make me look amazing for drafting Solomone Kata in SVRL before anyone else.
Titans- tipping the upset, because every round needs one. Roberts to get a double
Roosters- I think Pearce will carry his form from the nines into this and now they won't need to rely on SBW
Bulldogs- Hard to pick for me, toss of the coin. Also G Jennings to score a hat trick and be a deserved 30th draft pick.
Sharks- as Big Pete said the sharks look to have the squad to finally compete with other teams and I think will start off with a bang
Storm- even without Smith I reckon Cronk will dominate the game with his kicking and the dragons forwards will be found out pretty quickly.

Then again I'm a hopeless tipper so don't take my word for it

Well, hopeless seemed to be a bit of an understatement.

Robinson's side is really flawless in picking from the selection of players they have. Wouldn't change a thing, at least for the starting side.
