I thought Jarrod Wallace was one of our most improved players last year.

Dunno what peoples obsession with Oates playing in the Centres is, he struggles with his defensive positioning on the wing, he'd get eaten alive in the Centres, more so than Reed.

Not to mention he has no passing ability, at all.

I've been thinking about Parramatta recently and I reckon they have their best team in years but they are still short on forwards though. Apart from Mannah who is really just a honest toiler none of their starting forwards apart from Ma'u averaged over 100 meters a game. Out of Parra's pack the only player who I would put in our team on the spot is Nathan Peats who averaged 48 tackles a game last year the most out of any dummy half in the comp last year. The only other Eel forward who could make our team would be Ma'u and that's a maybe.

I like their backline a lot though. Michael Gordon at fullback, Jennings in the centres, Radradra on the wing and finally they've got someone in the halves who can steer and direct the team in Kieran Foran who would also be a big asset to Norman who didn't have a bad year last year.

We've got them well rounded up front though and I would be very disappointed and surprised if we don't win in Round 1 but I wouldn't be to surprised if Parramatta do win considering how well they start the season most of the time.

If Parra keep Paulo I reckon they're in with a big chance. They have Beau Scott too. You'd imagine he'd make our team..

Beau Scott would not make his team, who's spot would he take?

I'd probably take Scott over Glenn in a vacuum, but they're similar players overall and Alex is a bit younger, it's certainly debatable.

And not to an extent of OMG Scott is so much better, to be frank we could afford to even lose Glenn and there would still be options who present equal or better long-term benefits anyway, Scott is good but he isn't anything I would get worked up over signing either.

Scott's only useful if you need an expendable moron to put in cheap shots on the other side's halves.

Scott is so overrated. Anyone in a Blue jersey can get away with cheap shots in origin. Wouldn't want him anywhere near our team.

Yeah I forgot about Scott he is another one who probably make our team.

This is how I expect us to line up. The game will be fast and tight as the players shake off the rust, but I expect our boys to get away with a good win to start the season. Expecting a huge game from Hunt in particular. He must be clawing at his skin waiting for the footy to start at this point.

Adam Blair? Jordan Kahu? Do people even think before posting team lists?
