They look on paper the clear wooden spooners and this performance isn't doing anything to quell that thought. Our challenge will be thinking they will be easy beats because even though they likely will be, in this comp all you have to be is 5 percent off and you get beaten.

I thought they would drop off but yikes they look awful. When you think about it, it would probably be hard to motivate the players when they all know in the back of their mind that this is just a filler year until the club makes some signings in the future. Probably not the best mind set for them?

By their standards. I know they finished third last year and had a bit of a run but they haven’t looked like sincere threats for a couple of years now.
They’re in that uncomfortable position of doing well enough to not inspire change but not doing well enough to get the job done.

They're in the middle of a transition. They just lost JWH, Keary, Manu, Suaalii and let go of May. They have a few veterans and a lot of young players coming through.
This year is a whole other kettle of fish for them.

Anyone think Tedesco is at about the same point that Darius Boyd was in his career in 2018/2019.

Yeah, I guess that was my point. They’ve been struggling to hold on to relevancy for a few years as it is, and it’s only going to get worse before it gets better
I like the ability for players to switch during the game
If Billy gets 14 then he and Hunt can switch easily
Cobbo has the ability to “roam” like Turbo does and Carrigan can drop into Lock to allow good minutes for bench props - this flexibility is gold in modern game as teams tire and we see holes

Roosters haven't been a threat but then again, nobody else has either. If being a threat means being able to beat Penrith, nobody has looked like they can do that. We came close but ultimately when it counted, we weren't good enough.

I don't know if Seigwalt was ever in the plans... I think he got attention because his name is Latrell... Perham was always the Tristan replacement... now we need a Perham replacement

Jeez I'm not sure about that... I don't care how good Bhunt is at 9 it's just not worth weakening 6 that much to move him from there.
It's also planning to disrupt things at 6 and on the left edge every single game, to give Paix a rest and there are far better ways to do that than moving Bhunt to 9 and Billy to 6.
The only way that happens is when Ezra is back and if he's carving up Qcup... you could consider Ezra on the bench and inject him at some point to play 6, move Bhunt to 9... Bhunt could then play some lock to bring Paix back on the field and go balls to the wall attack. Bhunt can often finish at lock for Qld to have all the playmakers on the field at once.
But I'm not sure if all of that is worth it, because of how good a player Bhunt is.
Even yesterday he was able to take so much pressure of Reynolds and Walsh. He basically became the focal point of our attack within his first 40mins on the field, which is insane considering Walsh is there. If having Bhunt at 6 allows Walsh to take a backseat and chime in then he's worth his weight in gold.

I think last year was the fist prelim they've made since Cronk was there... so by their standards they have been pretty disappointing considering the roster that gets assembled each year.
Making the prelim and then entering a bridging year with huge turnover of roster expected... I will be interested to see how Uncle Nick reacts.
I don't think Robinson should be in trouble, but 1 prelim in 5 year since Cronk left (who would've been a move that Nick pulled together and not Robbo) might have him looking around if a different coach might be able to do better.
The complete lack of coaches probably means Robbo is under no threat, but if they're not back and legitimately competing for premierships by 2027 then he could be on the chopping block.
Does Uncle Nick think a guy like Fitz is a good option... considering he's also a rorters legend
