what's your point.

we're still winning games. which really is impressive given we haven't been able to get any consistency with our team due to injuries.

hell, in pretty much every loss we've had, we've lost key players mid game due to injuries.

what really matters at this point of the season is getting ourselves enough wins to be thereabouts at the end of the season heading into finals
That it needs to improve?

They are winning some games. Not against good opposition though and not playing particularly well in wins against lower ranked sides.

Sportsbet odds for the premiership still holds us in high regard. Panthers are firming as the favourite. If we can get the errors down, do the simple things well, do it with energy like we did against the storm in the finals, we are a good chance. The shaky start to the year will most likely put us outside the top 4 which doesn't bode well with history.

There may be a silver lining to Arey being out. It will give more authority to Mam and Walsh. Sometimes i felt there were too many cooks in the kitchen. Might help simplify our game.

I thought Hopgood tucked the arm in as well.

I thought the call was right, but the explanation was poor. If he simply ruled it a loose carry with no clear attempt to strip at the ball, most would have lived with it.

Did those players maintain their balance? It was the right ruling since Staggs fell after playing the ball, but the officials have been lax on this in recent months.
But I seen many many time the same situation that staggs got pinned last night for, let go or basically say play on by the referee.

Still games to be played this round but right now Brisbane are leading the league for Errors, Ineffective Tackles and Handling Errors.
Yeah and this is the area we all know we need to improve in. Kevvie knows it the players know it. We will get it sorted.

Did anyone mention and rejoice that we actually had 2 goal line dropouts go our way last night? One Staggs actually secured from the kick off. It sort of went with his all round game last night I thought he was immense carting the ball back as the eels were out to sting in defence and there were a few times they dropped the shoulder into him and he still kept putting his hand up to take the tough ones off our line.

Really not a bad performance to be honest. It was a gritty win with solid defence at times. The referee was pathetic at times. We missed alot of tackles but our defence was still really good I though apart form the abysmal miss from ezra.. much much improved from last week

Watch the replay ....
Piakura is inside him . He doesn`t close the gap that Tualagi stepped back through . There was a hint of obstruction on Piakura but not enough to reverse the try .
Piakura looked gassesd right after . Then Gosewski came on .

He's a little under the radar right now - the media isn't swooning over him constantly yet. Now's the time to lock that shit down though. Donuts, make sure to throw in a fresh Racoon every game he puts in over a 100m off the bench.

Matterson got reported for pulling the Racoon`s tail last night .
Willison didn`t seem to flinch ? I got a surprise when the ref said Matterson was on report ??

The shaky start to the year will most likely put us outside the top 4 which doesn't bode well with history.
At the end of this round we will be 2 wins behind 1st, 1 win behind 2nd/3rd and equal wins with 4th - with an extra bye up our sleeve. Our run home is good too, with 10 matches against bottom 9 teams, 4 against top 4 and Manly next week.

Top 2 finish is still well within reach.

We also led in those stats for the whole 2023 season and we didn't do too bad 😉

No charge for Staggs. Parra got two fines - funny that we were the ones constantly being penalised hey.

Did Matterson get a fine for pulling on Willison`s Racoon hat ?
He got reported for hair pulling !
