And I am still convinced that Reyno and Walsh together aren't as effective as most media pundits believe they are. Yes, they are still both amazing players. But Duffy took 1 set to adjust to Walsh and it led to a try within a few minutes of being on the field.

Both Ez and Walsh played so much better with Duffy at 7. It must be the way Reyno pulls shape that gives Walsh and Ez no room to play.

Duffy plays deeper. Which gives Walsh a better running and passing option.

If Walsh is out, Reyno is our best option. If Walsh is in, Duffy/BHunt is better. That is a common trend this year and last year, and the eye test does prove it.

I agree. Reyno drifts sideways then picks up runners which seems to take space away from Walsh. Duffy straightens and takes the line on before passing which leaves space for Walsh to do his thing.

This seems too simple to be true, yet I think you’re right.

Yep, I agree. Sideways suits Ez's playing style, but when he has to adjust with Walsh demanding the ball out the back that is when errors occur, etc.
The GF and Raiders Semi kinda prove it lol
I agree. Which is why I said "media pundits" people still thinking the best option is Reyno / Walsh. When most Bronx think it is Walsh and Bunt/Duffy
To be fair to Reyno, we barely had the ball or a chance to attack until after he went off.
In this game particularly, I agree, we didn't have much chance. But I am talking about the games where Reyno out/Walsh in or vice versa, we always seem to attack way more efficiently. More of a, I don't think we are at our BEST when they are both in.

I just really rate Duffy's try assist and kicking abilities. I think Madge needs to consider him starting more, even to just give Reyno time to recover any niggles too. Reyno is too much of a liability in game atm. Yes, he did amazing in Tigers and Bulldogs. But him having a 50% injury chance every game, like last season he wasn't close to our best spine player. I know in this case it was a head knock, but I don't think you are losing much with Duffy going there. If Duffy kills it in this game, he'd really have to consider giving Reyno a game or 2 more rest.

Is Perham an option for centre, has he ever played there?
Yeah he has for Bulldogs I believe, even just in game or late mail type.

Well Mariner confirmed gone, Karapani, Staggs and Reynolds as well you would assume.

Poates getting almost odds on to debut.

Mariner not just gone, could be out for months.

The injuries are ridiculous. Same thing happened to Souths last year, there was basically no let up at all and it made their entire season a write off.

I assume Poates is a chance then, and Verhoeven, especially if Staggs is suspended

I am confident that we can still do a job without these players, we just have to keep in the top 8 until we get some reinforcements. Staggs probably 1/2 games. Mariner gone for a while most likely and hoping Karapani isn't that serious. He hasn't been put on the injury list yet.

Worst case backline:
Walsh
Arthars
Gem
Staggs/Nio/Hayze
Karapani/Nio/Hayze

Smokey: Poates

PVL and co must be really cooking the books with that judiciary report.
