POST GAME [Round 10, 2026] - Broncos vs Sea Eagles

Injury aside I believe this broncos team really hates playing at 4 pines at night. This game was extremely similar to our performance against them last year, multiple errors and poor effort to try and win. This was our worst loss so far this year, things can only go up from here

The ONLY positive that we count on is — it’s after the Manly game last year, our season picked up and we won the trophy.

But, there was that old drunk flog Buzz too who was relentless in booting MM. let’s hope it’s dumb fcuk CONEHEAD this time to stir us up and get back on road to our back-to-back.

hopefully they visit the same Pub ... there must have been something in their beer

Mam looks confused. Reminding me more and more of Milford by the week.

He is an instinctive footballer that looks like he’s confused as to what his job is. Ball playing is not natural to him, and hes getting caught thinking too much. He just needs to react and go. Or pass early.
When Reynolds is out he needs to be able to have a bit more control of this team.

The issue is when he’s out he doesn’t really seem to be present. Too busy doing his book or his clothing brand or media. Lockyer wasn’t doing this when he was captain.

I just don’t think he’s the guy for that. Duffy probably is. Mam needs to just play and react. Think 2023 - run first. Support.

Controlling a game is not his natural style, putting players into space isn’t his natural style - he is a ball runner who
Is currently not running the ball. It’s destroying the left side attack.

Huh? I don’t care what players are doing with their free time. I’m talking about Mam needing to control the team a little bit more when Reynolds is out.

Of course he’s confused. At one point tonight Madge had hunt ,paix, mam, Duffy and Walsh all on at the same time. No one had a clue what to do. Willison at back row didn’t help mam either. The timing of his runs were way off.

He needs to be able to do both. He’s not expected to control anything when Reynolds is there, but when he’s gone he needs to share that job with the halfback who replaces him. At least a small amount. But he does the opposite. Whereas Walsh gets his hands on the ball, kicks it, does whatever he can when Reynolds is out.

Well Manly just showed the blueprint on how to bustle us out of a game. Expect to cop that from every team from now on. They will push the envelope to the nth degree and most likely get away with it for most of the match like Manly did. Our coaching staff need to come up with something to get us some metres as we have been struggling all year.

Absolutely agree, but what I’m saying is he just isn’t that player. We have re-signed him on big money in the hope he will become that, just like we wanted Milford to be that - but neither is or was. And Mam won’t become that either.

We are missing 2 of our middles to injury, and a 3rd is being played in the backrow because we have no backrow depth.

As much as I think Willison is a big help to the left edge defence, he has to be in the middle again. The coaching staff will have to find a way to protect Mam with someone else.
