POST GAME [Round 10, 2026] - Broncos vs Sea Eagles

Now by no means do I think he's shit (just putting it out there up front), but to be honest, I've been a bit underwhelmed with him. With the hype around him, I expected a bit more. Now totally understand it's his second game, he's young and hasn't played a lot of cup yet but there have been other 19yo to come into the NRL and have looked pretty good straight off the bat.

I think he'll come good if the hype is right but he looks to have bad Cobbo vibes for me especially with his hands. I know I'm being harsh but just expected a little more given all the talk around him. At present, he looks to be a good 2 to 3 years away from regular NRL.

Fair call and yeah, I’m not ignorant of his mistakes, they were concerning. I’m just trying to find something positive out of an abysmal game.

I think he’ll put on some size over the offseason and come back turning heads. Not every player is going to come in steamrolling people at 19. But the potential is clear and it’s exciting. Whether he ever fulfilled it or not of course remains to be seen.

With all our outs I thought 2 wins from 5 was a pass mark and we got them straight up against dogs and tigers.
Other results have helped us stay in touch with the top 4 but that's gone unfortunately.
The reachable teams in the 4 have very nice draws through and after origin.
We will have to be the first to win it from outside the top 4.

We were further back last year and got the top 4.

This year is so unpredictable due to Vlandys ball that who knows what could happen to the teams in the top 4. Get a run of 6 agains against you and you could easily get a few losses. So could losing a key player.

lol, Beagles want Paix hung, drawn and quartered for his “hip drop”.

Said after the chooks game we should have asked for similar about Radley and saw many suggesting it wasn't possible.

Just to be clear before people jump on, not suggesting the Manly one isn't a horrible injury, or that Radley caused an injury. Just the fact there was no charge and we could have questioned it.

The Taukeiaho injury is shocking, and looked awful, so it'll be interesting what if anything comes from this.

We did ask the ARLC to review the radley tackle, they declined… it would be peak NRL to turn around a week later and then intervene in a tackle of a broncos player.

Whether the NRL step in to charge Paix depends on if they determine losing Paix would hurt us or help us.

If they think losing Paix will hurt us, they'll 100% step in and charge him.

If they think losing Paix would help us, they'll let the MRC decision stand

There it is. Wonderful.

I’ve been wondering as to who would throw the first shots at us and I was expecting someone jurmos but it was Manly themselves.

Something must happen to stir up our guys and it did. This is a great sign to our quest for back-to-back guys. It was after our game against them last year that kick started our march to premiership last year & it will be a repeat of last year 🕺🕺🕺.

I’m going to ignore the Wahs game Sunday week. My only prayers are no injuries or suspensions to our guys. Glad to concede the 2 points as they’re coming into Sunday’s game on the back of their bye.

All cool. Our roar back starts after our 1st bye with some of our returning squad(Katoni, Haas & Piakura?).

The NRL have reportedly rejected Manly's demand to step in and charge Paix for a hip drop. the MRC's decision will stand. It is understood the ARL Commission told Manly that the video evidence did not support a finding that Paix’s conduct was careless.

Hurray, sanity prevails. Genuinely shocked in this day and age.

Mostly on how good the Sea Eagles are going (fair enough) - but for us: "once they get their middles back, they'll be fine" 😀

Jensen is probably done for the season so it is just Haas we are getting back...but hey he is worth 2 or 3 players, so I guess its accurate.

If they do charge Paix, I'll have a ****ing fit. We will have zero junior hookers left, outside of Rodgers who is makeshift.

And as for the whole "who do we need to recruit". We are short 1 starting, second rower, prop and lock. I am hoping Semu, PRiki, Gale and Tupou Francis (Should be able to play as soon as he is 18 this month) will sort that out for next year mainly.

We have plenty of back/hooker/half depth, it is just that they all got injured.

But Madge needs to do better with managing X's rotation, no more playing 2nd row. Put JHUNT in until Piakura is back.

Already been dropped I think? Manly requested a closer look and the NRL said "Nah, EAD"

Note: NRL phrasing may not be accurate.
