Does anyone feel weird about Payne using the word bollocks?![]()
“We’ve Got His Back-Everyone Has High Belief In This group”
Broncos senior leader Payne Haas talks with the media ahead of Sunday's clash against the Dragons at Suncorp Stadium.www.broncos.com.au
- Yes we can win, just need to play our footy this week sniff
- We started well last week but came out slack last week, its just all about energy and attention to detail sniff
- I'm just motivated to get a win this week before the bye, not worried about injury
- Nah haven't heard from Laurie
- Sniff, yeah 100% got faith in all the boys here to get the job done without Patty and myself
- Ah yeah Te Kura is ready to fill the void, hard to get into the team at the moment
- No its not just the Patty and Payne show, we've got other boys here, not just us sniff
- I feel like the connection of the past teams was good, that's what we are trying to produce here sniff
- Haven't really thought about origin to be honest
- Maguire puts his faith into you and expects you to do the job, that's all I can really say
- I can push out the numbers I do because of the boy around me, but need to go harder this week
- More stuff about NSW, who cares
- The boys trained well the other day, Maguire has been positive, he's got a lot of belief in the group
- Its bollocks he's lost the playing group, everyone has his back, we support him 100%
- You guys are making up stuff about training too hard, hasn't come from anyone here
- The boat trip was good, real good, yeah
- Its exciting to have Ezra back, he's 100% ready, 100%
- The line break lack of support was highlighting our lack of energy last week sniff
- Ezra has been so good to be honest, he's good, he's ticked off every box
- He's been good, he's been buzzing around here
- You can't control whether people boo, just play well and it goes away
- Buck is safe, he's with us
That was my favourite part.Does anyone feel weird about Payne using the word bollocks?

Your post quality is unmatched!Yes for sure but I was quietly proud of myself that I recorded all sniffs in their correct timeline order.
Your post quality is unmatched!
Don’t think I don’t see through the fact that your presser summaries are a list of comments the players make.
All of the "experts" tipping us again.
Have they not learned their lesson?
You would think that with all the talk about their attitude and the coach this week, it would be motivation enough for a huge effort from us. If all this talk doesn't motivate them to prove the haters wrong I don't know what will. All of the "experts" tipping us again.
Have they not learned their lesson?
Yeah, it's a funny word that one. It just sounds a bit twee to Aussies, but can be literal swearing in England, a bit stronger in some circles than you might expect. As in would be beeped out on the news.Does anyone feel weird about Payne using the word bollocks?

But swearing in general is more normalized over there. Scottish women are chronic guttermouths.
Paki is another one that's always been as innocuous as "Aussie" or "Rusky" in Australia. No one used to flinch when the Aussies played the Pakis in a One Dayer. Because we don't have an issue with them. Meanwhile Poms will clear the room around you if you say that over there. I think the Pommy Soapdodgers have made inroads into trying to guilt us into making it into a swearword here in the last few years. I'd like to hear their reasoning on that.
They're the actual ***** in the conversation.
I suggest Maguire use a new motivation talk
Yes, that as well. I have to say it took a few years to grow on me, but I use it now without thinking. I wonder if he also says "the dog's bollocks."I don’t mean weird as in it’s offensive or inappropriate - I more mean that it’s a very Geezer word for a young eshay lad like Payno.
There is a way forward. Most here won't like it, but it's the right option: do not extend Reynolds. If Hunt doesn't cut it at half and Walsh hasn't sorted out his issues under the high ball, then Walsh to half, and Hunt to 14. Black needs to see at least some game time this season.I think enough of the season has passed to make some judegment calls here.
- Ben Hunt - whilst it felt good at the time, this transfer goes down as a bad one. I cant seem to escape the obvious; we should have spent that money on a NRL quality 2nd rower instead.
- Patty - Yep, i was fine with the prop experiment. But it's done now. We can't keep misappropriating the talents of one of the leagues best run-first big minute locks. Which means..
- Take Kobe out. I admit I was wrong here. He is a shadow of what Carrigan gives us here.
- There is currently a misallocation of our salary cap in the hooking position. Smoothy is excess to requirements. Walters and Paix; either can safely be moved on now. Its these deals on the margins to round out a roster in a salary cap league. We "need" to be doing better in this regard...
