- Yes we can win, just need to play our footy this week sniff
- We started well last week but came out slack last week, its just all about energy and attention to detail sniff

You would think that with all the talk about their attitude and the coach this week, it would be motivation enough for a huge effort from us. If all this talk doesn't motivate them to prove the haters wrong I don't know what will.
We say it all the time for the crappier teams when they play us, but to be fair - this week is our grand final.

Yeah, it's a funny word that one. It just sounds a bit twee to Aussies, but can be literal swearing in England, a bit stronger in some circles than you might expect. As in would be beeped out on the news.
But swearing in general is more normalized over there. Scottish women are chronic guttermouths.
Paki is another one that's always been as innocuous as "Aussie" or "Rusky" in Australia. No one used to flinch when the Aussies played the Pakis in a One Dayer. Because we don't have an issue with them. Meanwhile Poms will clear the room around you if you say that over there. I think the Pommy Soapdodgers have made inroads into trying to guilt us into making it into a swearword here in the last few years. I'd like to hear their reasoning on that.

I think enough of the season has passed to make some judegment calls here.
- Ben Hunt - whilst it felt good at the time, this transfer goes down as a bad one. I cant seem to escape the obvious; we should have spent that money on a NRL quality 2nd rower instead.
- Patty - Yep, i was fine with the prop experiment. But it's done now. We can't keep misappropriating the talents of one of the leagues best run-first big minute locks. Which means..
- Take Kobe out. I admit I was wrong here. He is a shadow of what Carrigan gives us here.
- There is currently a misallocation of our salary cap in the hooking position. Smoothy is excess to requirements. Walters and Paix; either can safely be moved on now. Its these deals on the margins to round out a roster in a salary cap league. We "need" to be doing better in this regard...

There is a way forward. Most here won't like it, but it's the right option: do not extend Reynolds. If Hunt doesn't cut it at half and Walsh hasn't sorted out his issues under the high ball, then Walsh to half, and Hunt to 14. Black needs to see at least some game time this season.
