Has Junt played NRL this year yet? If no, between him and Poates, that'll be another two players added to the "used throughout the season" numbers.
Two games (Canterbury, Sydney).

I've been keeping track of extended squads, Brisbane have named 33 players. Walters and Te Kura are the only remaining squad players who have yet to be named. Gale (NRL/Broncos potential debutant) , Bradley (Broncos debutant) and Hoeter are the players who have yet to play this season despite being named.

Tawha, yuk. I hope he proves me wrong but there's literally nothing I have seen from him all year that indicates he's anything other than a Cup level player, which is disappointing after all the pumping up he got from the club.

Would probably prefer to see Duffman on the bench over Rogers, but understand Rogers is there to cover halves injuries or otherwise play somewhere in the middle if necessary, which obviously Duffy can't do. Can't think what else I'd have changed. I expect to see a far better showing here at home after that embarrassment last week.

Maybe there was something to that Verhoeven shoulder injury after all?
True forgot about that... I'd say it was an AC which low grade can be 1-2 weeks and is pain tolerance.

But being a young guy you can pull him out of the game and rest up

Yeah Verhoeven did his shoulder early, did amazingly well to play out the game. He could barely lift his arm which I think contributed to his knock ons.

I'm excited to see Poates. I wonder if the will do his spectacular and unnecessary put down if he gets the opportunity.
$1.01 of happening if he gets a chance.

He'll also be on the kick chase that Reyno bombs to ... I'll be disappointed if he's not flying through the air on a kick chase at some point

Yeah he's played... I think he ended up on the edge in the game that Piaks got injured?

So vs dogs... couldn't shift Willison out because we had no Patty or Payne.

I thought he looked ok, but I dont know why Kevvie and now Madge are so reluctant to use him, but then keep re-signing him haha

We're in desperate need for Jhunt to be adequate at second row. We don't need him to do anything else other than make his tackles.

If that happens then we can keep a middle that has Willison and Patty with Talty off the bench...that's at least some resemblance of the full strength lineup. Semu and Preston have been good enough as well... but Patty and Willison will play big minutes to have as much 'first grade' on the field as possible.

If Jhunt can be a 'first grade' level second rower, then our forward pack can largely be a first grade standard or better.

The spine is full strength, including Bhunt off the bench... although hopefully Reece decides to remove the origin coloured bubble wrap this week.

Outside backs is now the least first grade looking part of the team, we have Karp who is the only guy that has been playing first grade standard this year... although Shiba feels like he's getting back into a groove (or maybe that's hopium)... but I'd feel far more comfortable if we had a centre and Jesse on the wing. This team would be looking far better if Staggs didn't have a brain snap...

A lot may ride on how Coates performs in his debut, so he's another pinch point along with Jhunt.

Given the amount of injuries this team doesn't look horrendous and if they actually turn up this week (and aren't looking ahead to next week and Game 1 in Sydney)... then can compete in the match.
