PRE-GAME Round 11 - Broncos vs Roosters

Maybe kevvie leaving fucked us ! Spend all off season being run kevvies way know trying to adjust back to demetriou's way , has have some affect. Add the halfback situation and our young forwards with a healthy injury list , and you can see why we are struggling.

because we were travelling so well, while Kevvie was here, right?

Of all the different scenarios and rumours I find this hardest to believe. They were on demtrious way last season, it wouldn't be that hard to re-adjust.

Not really there has bit a bit of chopping and changing, never said it was the whole reason.
Who's to say I'm right or "WONG" !!!

Not hard to guess where the Roosters will be targeting on Friday night. I just hope it doesn't blow out and make our already terrible points differential even worse.

Kodi's defensive reads, and the way he planted his feet before the attacking players was simply appalling technique, and they will target him, just as they will target our compressed defence and exactly as Manly did, they will shred us on the edges and out wide.

The Roosters are expert at moving it wide, and one of their fave moves is Keary running around to take the ball from Cronk making an extra man. I shudder to think what the score will be unless there is a major shift in our defensive pattern for this game.

Man we miss Gillett and Moose

Isn't the rumour that Bennett didn't want to implement Walters advice/gameplans/structures and so he got frustrated and left?
Well Daniel O'Dowell said Walters quit because he was offered the top job at the Melbourne Storm. Both of these stories were made up so who knows which one is correct..

Is this where we look at 4 rounds into this season after a whole year under Demetriou, but we're not allowed to bring 2015 into consideration?

that year under Demetriou had us finishing third ... then Walters came back on board shuffling Demetriou into a different role

Guess that's why I prefaced mine with rumour and not concrete evidence.

There's a difference between finishing third because of good discipline and attitude (which is creed of any Bennett coached team) , but being pretenders to the premiership (let's not kid ourselves), and finishing third through quality footy and being contenders, which we really never were!

Fact: Walters was the halves and attacking assistant in the only year we were playing great footy and were contenders (until we decided to stop playing our footy and went to Bennett style in the last 25 or so minutes of the GF).
After being under Demetriou for a whole season and being nothing but pretenders (regardless of the season's ladder finish), trying to hold the first 4 rounds of the season against Walters, is hypocritical at best.

To me the injury list dictates the following team and if we stick with it for 4 or 5 games it really may click:
1. Boyd (can’t go hanging fb right now)
2. Kahu / Pearson if Kahu not ready
3. Roberts at left centre
4. Bird
5. Isaako
6. Milford
7. Dargan (he will play out of his skin to prove himself)
8. Lodge
9. McCullogh for 60mins
10. Thaiday
11. Oates (he will play out of his skin to prove himself and after 4 or 5 games Glenn will have to push hard to get his spot back - and I’m a Glenn fan but competition is good)
12. Su’A
13. TPJ (no more to say)
14. Carrigan (see note for Dargan)
15. Offa
16. Sims
17. Fai (see note for Dargan)

Sorry Oppa but for Bird to get fit and find his groove he’s gotta play 80mins at centre consistently. Oates is fit enough to play 80 in back row. First game they may be shit but this is the type of footy side most other coaches would field and stick with. WB’s chopping and changing is ruining our cohesion and players getting hooked is ruining confidence.

It’s common sense!!!

Haha you've come to the Wong place.

I would rather see offa start and thaiday on the bench , niko for carrigan and probably taga for fai for more experience on the bench. Got question marks on sims aswell but we need experience atm

Yep I made a few mistakes. Niko for Carrigan. Maybe Taga for Fai but I think fai has a lot to prove. I don’t agree with the offa for Thaiday swap though as our interchange would be too weak.

Kahu might be picked this week, IMO he will give it another week just to make sure he is ready.

What was the point of buying Dargan if we are not going to use him?
