Playing Lock would not be that much different in defence to playing hooker . I`d rather Maca stay on field and Kodi come on as another middle player .

Isolated on the wing jumping for bombs against specialist wingers is a different role all together .
A lock is generally a more versatile prop, and although sometimes not as big, are you seriously asking one of, if not the smallest player in the NRL, to not only defend the ruck, but cart the ball up for 25-30 minutes?

And if that isn't the role you expect him to fulfil, you expect the Broncos to go around for 30 minutes without a middle forward?

How many games have we played this year in soggy conditions? We would win by plenty in dry conditions but now it could be one of those grinding games with some bs plays that usually go against us

Happens way more often playing at night. Wish we had some day games on dry tracks for Roberts to fly on. For every person saying we get advantages, I legitimately believe we are disadvantaged by having zero daylight games.

We brought Benji on at lock against storm and they murdered us through the middle with macca and him defending side by side.

Macca cleans up the ruck, he doesn't stop them through impact he wraps them up or finishes them off. Having two small in the middle is asking for all kinds of trouble; quick play the balls, offloads, meters after contact or just plain steam rolling them.

Not to mention the props would have to play a bit tighter to compensate which opens up the wider areas

Being a wet track I can't see the sense having Mead on the bench. Let Fai get his chance at home.

There's an interesting article doing the rounds in regards to Blair playing his 250th game tonight (not sure if it's been shared already) but he says that every record the nrl has of his age is wrong, it turns out he's only just turned 30 not 31 so he's a year younger then everyone thinks he is.

Tough call .
Neither guy deserves to be dropped / benched . Hunt making that tackle while on one leg would have won him brownie points with Uncle wayne . Yet Kodi hasn`t let him down and looks to be gaining confidence .
Kodi on as lock at 25 -30 min mark ?

Do you read what you post? Lets see, how would Kodi go tackling other locks like Gallen, Taumololo, Burgess etc?

Really looking forward to the game tonight, I know a lot of you fellas on here don't wanna see a lot of broncos picked for origin, but I'm a die hard Queenslander and want to see our players be there in the team list for the benefit of getting that experience. And I'm pretty confident our depth can manage origin period and we've got a lot of young fellas waiting for an opportunity, so the more broncos picked the better I think.

I'm really hoping Roberts and Oates fire tonight, Roberts seem to have done an absolute 180 on his discipline and his behaviour on and off the field and a great game tonight to reward that blues jersey would do him the world of confidence coming back after origin period to fire for finals footy.

A lot of talk about Valentine being named instead of Oates, tonight may be his only chance to make the decision for Walters.

I'm also hoping Boyd holds out slater for his fullback, I've been keeping an eye on Slater, he's playing well but I don't think he is the better player out of him and Boyd. So tonight is also a chance for Boyd to settle it for Queensland aswell.

Broncos for the win as always. Expect big games from the origin players needing to prove themselves because Iam!

He defends against props and locks as a sub hooker . Defends against 2nd rowers and centres at half back .Not a turnstile . Gallen ,Taumolo etc are off the field at 30 min mark ...

No Moses, no Brooks, no Farah. Goodness me, the Tigers are actually going to have some direction.

If the Broncos don't win convincingly tonight then it will be an embarrassment.

IF they lose.. Well they may as well pack it in for the season.
