Surely if you aren't putting Haas to 13, you have to go with Asiata in all honesty, I mean isn't that why the guy was bought to the club?
I’d like to see 'Glenn' get a shot off the bench. Not sure who starts. Maybe Asiata or Flegler.

I think Radly is the prototype modern 13. What he brings to the roosters is priceless.

I don't see Kennedy as a starting prop personally. He's a good fresh bench player and I definitely don't think he's good enough to make one of the best if not the best (him and paulo) move to the edge.
Just on Kennedy as a starter prop. He started last year rounds 15 to 18 inclusive. Made 112 of 117 tackles with 6 offloads. Think he only gave away 2 (maybe 3) penalties. Averaged 9 metres a hitup. Played 4 teams, two that made the finals. Penrith, minor premiers and Roosters who were 4th.

He went pretty well as a starter, certainly proved he could do the job. Those aren't bad stats considering we lost all four games.

He’s the only thing that resembles a positive contribution made by Pies

Nah I include fucking off macca as well.
I agreed at the time but our replacement just got dragged after 30 minutes of game time for Danny Levi to replace him so I'm not so sure now.

Don’t care. Personally I like Turpin, but Macca had to go, we Gave him near On a decade of what we knew we were going to get every week. He had a good go.

Bit of a case of cutting our nose off to spite ourselves. We’ve effectively replaced him with a worse version of him.

the cost is a consideration but we’ve brought nobody in with the money we ‘saved’ so it’s a weird situation

not imo. I might be biased but I still rate Turpin. Hope he’s still on the roster when Reynolds gets here.

Turpin dropped off a bit lately, but he was definitely playing better than McCullough at the time. The whole team just looks shot for confidence, if the Broncos keep losing I can even see Gamble going into his shell too.

Luckily we've only got the roosters and storm coming up then.....

**** sake

We have the chance to really **** over the Roosters here. But Kevvie won’t do it. Because we don’t hire coaches that exploit rules.

Go after Walker and Tedesco. “Slip” when going into the tackle and headbutt their shoulders. Get them sent for 10.

I actually think Kennedy has improved this year with limited game time, he is a definite keep for depth on the bench as his cost is low to the cap and he can do a job for 25 to 30 mins on a weekly basis.

I don't see how it would affect his hitups. No matter what number is on his back or what his proposed position is (he could have a 7 on his jersey) it won't change his power, post contact metres or overall metres.

In defence and where he stands, sure but if Lodge, Kennedy, Haas and TPJ are shoulder to shoulder it won't make much difference who stands next to whom. I know lateral movement becomes more important the further out from the centreline you stand but we could just view it as four big motherfuckers in a line keeping the middle tough.

Anyway, I do appreciate that this is just your opinion😉
So you expect him to do all his hitups in the middle of the field, and then run out on the edges when attacking?

And now you want to have the 2 props and the 2 second rowers defend next to each other in the line? Please explain to me how that works? Would the defend 1 edge and put all the backs on the other edge? Maybe get a winger to defend at hooker?

Who, Kennedy? I don't expect any prop to do anything other than run hard and straight, what difference does it make where they do it?

I don't know if you've noticed but the defence is a line. You could have a team of 17 props and it wouldn't change a thing. You'd still have a line of 12 and a guy out back.

I don't see what your problem is. If a coach wants he can get his first guy to run straight ahead, say 15 metres in from touch. If he wants to he can run his second third fourth and fifth hit up straight ahead in the same corridor, 15 metres in. That's if he wanted to. I'm not saying he should or that it's clever, just saying he could if he wanted to.

Props stand next to second rowers all the time, what's new. Sometimes they stand next to halfbacks hookers and 5/8s, so what? If we have Kennedy, Lodge, Haas and TPJ next to each other so what? What if they were all props and were wearing 23456 or 7 on their backs? Who fucking cares? We have big strong gorillas, make other teams go round us.

No my question was about Haas. You said playing on an edge won't affect his metres. So you must want him to come in field to take the hitups, and then move back out on the edge and do some more work there and run decoy lines etc?

I don't know if you've noticed, but defending out wide is very different to defending in the middle. If you think having 17 props wouldn't change that...Jesus christ

Yes a coach could do that if he wanted to make 6m a carry and lose his job after a few weeks. You know what happens when they focus hitups down a corridor? A compressed defensive line, it's why kicking to a corner is a tactic and teams don't always kick for the goal posts.

Some of the stuff you say, it amazes me you've watched much footy. It's seriously like you just look at the scoreboard and the stats sheet each week.

Doesn’t have to be a coaching instruction. Prime Milford used to do those pass into an opposition player laying in the ruck to get a penalty. Maybe he could be the one to cop a high shot from their spine players.

Why does he have to come in field to hit the ball up ? I don't want him running decoys. I want him making metres. It's not about fancy plays, his strength is running straight and hard. If it's 15 metres to the right of centre or 15 to the left, what does it matter?

You didn't read my post or you're being deliberately obtuse or you're just plain stupid, one of them is the case. I didn't say having 17 props was a goal, in fact I was crystal clear about that but that didn't sink in did it? I know why they don't go down a corridor, I just fucking said a coach COULD DO IT. I didn't say it was a great idea. Talking to you is pointless. Even though I clearly said it wasn't clever or that a coach should do that you still responded as though I was suggesting it and you felt the need to explain why it was a bad idea.

I did suggest the option was only for the first 20 minutes and after that 20 Haas would revert to the classic setup, you probably deliberately ignored that too.
