Gamble is coming along nicely
Yeah that was what i was thinking as to why he has been partnering arey in the halves to pick up game managing skills in first grade.
Just dont see how you get mam in regular this year maybe at 14 next year?

I always notice David fifita gets shown up at marker in the 20m zone. I actually think riki has passed him. If the opposition want a try they just do 2 plays in a row down his side and fifita is inevitably slowly running back, laying on the ground or looking on from a distance as a try is being scored. Guaranteed try. Riki isn't a highlights reel player but he is turning into a mini-capewell for me. A little different running style and link man in attack but overall just does the 1%s, shores up the defence and just plays his role in attack...
Riki makes me start to let go of Gillett.

Thatā€™s exactly what you need out of backrowers. They are highly valuable to the success of a team but shouldnā€™t be paid top dollar for highlights.

Riki and Flegler charged but will escape suspension with an early guilty plea and just pay a fine.

If Flegler challenges the fine, which would be stupid, and loses he will cop a 2 match ban.

They can consider themselves very very fucking lucky.

That just highlights a flaw in the system IMO.

If the incident is bad enough to warrant a sin bin, how do you escape suspension and just cop a fine?

As much as mchunt does infuriate me sometime (most of the timešŸ˜‰) he is one of the most useful contributors on this forum. The guy or girl or whatever it is, adds so much content to this place.

So I'm thankful for his contributions
Why you yawning @Foordy? Sure mchunt does seem like mccunt most of time, but I realise that I'm also an opinionated tool also.

As for the question of Mam being a 6 or 7, I have always thought he is a 6 but last night was the first times I started seeing some real shades of JT. I don't know now.

The incident wasn't bad enough to warrant a sin bin, is the correct answer. Flegs' wasn't that bad either, I've seen plenty worse let go over the past couple weeks - and I've been watching closely since the Warrior's game, too.

I hope that try to TMM helps give him more confidence. He was always going to get there, no need to try and pass. While that thought is GREAT, very selfless, the more time he spends in the NRL again, the more confidence he will build in his own ability again. He was an explosive, exciting player before he had his stint out, honestly for all the good he's done I don't believe we've even scratched the surface of what he's capable of yet. Buy of the year with Reyno for mine, and so stoked to see what he can do for us in future.

I need to again note the reffing, particularly in that first half. Beyond atrocious, honestly. The tackle where Gamble was on the mark, Titans were metres in front of him and the ref let it go (though the second time called them back). The Riki bin for a tackle which in real time was literally half a second after he passed the ball. Wallace holding Jensen up after being specifically called out by the ref as offside yet it's only a penalty. There were more but those are the ones I clearly remember. Titans got every single 50/50 in that first half, NOT balanced out by their two binnings because they were both blatant and well-deserved. It feels silly to ask if the ref was under instruction to go out and take us down a couple of pegs, get the Titans into the game to manufacture a derby...but if he was, would he have called that half any differently? It's disgusting.

Mam was also outstanding. He still came up in defence a few times, which was worrying, but I've no doubt Capes will pull him into line. He looks special. Real headache on Kevvie's hands when Adam comes back, but IMO Tyson deserves his spot. Mam should be sent back to Cup with instructions from the coaching staff on what to improve on, but geez he's not far off being ready is he?

i thought he has come through as a 7

They didn't show a replay, but I thought I saw him do the ten in the bin signal right in the face of the first Titan to be binned - can anyone confirm?
Watched a high light reel .
Yes he gives him the off for 10 signal .

Maybe it didnā€™t deserve a sin bin in the first placeā€¦.šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Titans keep finding new ways to undermine themselves; first their halfback Sexton got hurt and was removed, then 2 players got themsleves sin-binned within 2 minutes of each other. Brisbane then finally got their first try.

Then, Fifita scored straight after - imagine if the Titans didnt go down to 11 men? Arguably they are 0-24 up at halftime and thats game.

That first half of ours showed me that we must, MUST, enter the player market and upgrade whichever one of these you please.

1. Hooker
2. Five-eigth
3. Fullback

Not that this is a sleight on our halfs tonight - they were outstanding in the 2nd half. They took control of the game, Gamble was very good and Mam set himself up on the left hand side with Capewell & Herbie and frankly looked like a 100 game NRL vet. Defensively he was brilliant, every tackle on Fifita had Mam around his legs.

But this could have so easily have been a 'L'. A few things went against the Tits and they collapsed. We had very little creativity from dummy half all night.

Haas was great tonight- maybe both professionally and personally this week will prove a turning point of sorts in his life?

After 2 years, 2 long years, we have a proper NRL team on our hands now.

But for mine....we are still short of the best spines in the comp, and that needs to be our focus...

I don't think fans can complain too much about that one.

It shouldn't be a sin bin, but it is. They have been pretty consistent with sending players to the bin for those tackles.

When will the NRL come up to speed with the tech side of these post match press conferences ?
Too many times the reporters question is a muffled mumble .That can`t be heard / understood even with the volume turned up . Then the full volume response from the coaches . Pretty piss poor really . Spend the money on a cpl of hand held wireless microphone and a tech to switch channels . Its not rocket surgery .
