Flegler gave them the first try. High tackle on last for the penalty and then missed Nicho and then missed smith for the try. Flegler is not good. Robati did better and he’s on 1/5th the pay
Haas was just walking & out of position for the first try, the gap that Cheese got through was Haas's, not Fleglers.

We were shit tonight but seriously, if Melbourne retain Brandon Smith and Nicho Hynes.

The comp is fucked.

Badel match report:

Haas injury: tbc
Bye bye Milf: "produced arguably the worst performance of his 189-game NRL career."
Hynes: "totally outpointed Brisbane opposite Jamayne Isaako."
Tropical Cyclone Robati: "showed the fearlessness of a 100-gamer" "like a young Gorden Tallis."
Flegler: "fell asleep at the blocks." "foolish to farewell Lodge" "should cut Tom Flegler instead."

HAhha no. Watch again. Flegler comes up and holds Hynes and let’s him off load, and then he walks over to cheese and misses him.

He’s always been suspect in defence it’s his only flaw but has cost us a fair few tries over the years, pretty typical for a guy his size that never really had to bother about defence until first grade and he still switches off even after a lot of first grade games.

I love him but he needs to sort it out.

Turps went really well as did Flegs and that run in the second half was sheer determination both went well in a beaten side. Sadly Milf lost us that game when we were in the arm wrestle stage of the game. If we had converted a few of those chances then the Storm is quickly losing gas too. That dummy half pass on the first tackle from Milf to Arthur’s which resulted in a try was what killed any chance we had. After that all the pressure was off the Storm and they could go into cruise mode.

Sad to put it all on Milf but if we had Gamble there I’m pretty sure we would have at least made a game of it. **** there is no excuse for simple sloppy passes and standing around watching the play. If he reckons there is still a fire burning for the Broncos he seriously needs to seek psychiatric help ASAP.

Coates had 2 genuine chances to catch the ball and score a try, he failed both times.

If all the hype about him is running and jumping, well.. he struggled tonight in the jumping department and there are plenty of players going around who can run.

Pretty much on the money, I don’t mind offloading lodge, but not if we are still paying $400k

Watch Coates catch every single one of those next year. Just bloody watch. I honestly can't remember him catching any since his debut.

Strong start, looked sharp for a while there with some nice structured play and some good chances. Absolutely needed to take advantage of them though, and even if they had its likely they'd have been run down once the benchies came on. Too low on troops.

Can we skip to 2022 already? Please?

Say what you want about Badel but he's on point about all of that. You would be forgiven for thinking he's a member of this forum......Wait.

Personally thought it was Palasia's fault.

Exactly. Imagine blaming Haas for that. Flegler allowed the offload in the first place with a lazy arm grab then was too slow to get back into position to close the gap. It isn't Haas fault the man next to him is a lazy overpaid plodder, especially when compared to him.

Robati ran with energy, we sorely missed Haas in that 2nd half.

Milford was the worst player out there tonight, can't see how any club can seriously offer him any sort of a contract that is more than what you'd pay a player who is in development and to think this is the bloke we had marked as the future of the club.
