- Two weeks leading in to the Tigers game I had cold and flu symptoms
- The night before the game I had a pain in my right side but didn't think much of it
- I was coughing up
more blood (so implies he was already doing this) and so went to hospital and they picked up the clots
- I was on anti-virals because the doctors thought I had a viral infection and then pneumonia
- I drove myself to hospital actually and then had to get myself to emergency and stayed there 9 days
- They still not know what caused it but I'm very lucky and the hospital took after me really well
- The tests are ongoing to find out what caused it, they still don't know it
- Yes I lost 8-10kg and my lungs were full of fluid
- I plan to be back but need to go through a process, need to be on blood thinners for three months and then go from there
- Retirement hasn't crossed my mind at all but the blood thinners make contract stuff difficult of course
- I'm still keeping up my training as much as possible
- Not sure when that will be but that's what I'm working toward it
- The physical side was tough at first but now it is the mental side because not knowing what caused it is tough
- I can only control what I can control
- I'm trying to get back as close to my playing fitness as much as possible but we won't know how things will be until the three month period
- No past history with these things but the difference with last year is it was trauma induced last year but this one just formed in the lungs it seems, it is a different case, its strange
- I am a sports scientist yes and understand how the body works but to not know why it happens is a bit annoying but I've been around the game long enough to know all I can do is what I can do
- Seeing Deine up and running around is unreal and we are both doing everything we can to be back out on the field, we want to be out with the main group and get back there as soon as possible
- Something about more members and fans, etc
- Something about a bigger stadium
And we're done.
