Honestly, can you imagine the work experience drones he has watching that and reporting back to him?

I get the value of having hunt in around the group at training etc, but I don't understand how kevvie could justify picking him to actually play.

A 3-10 record and sinking fast certainly justifies it. When you have so little to work with, you use whatever resources you have. A 34 yo veteran who hasn't played League in over a decade is certainly desperation personified but he will perform no worse than the plodders alongside him.

If you've seen him in Q Cup and the fact he is basically injured, he very well could do worse.

No idea, but the Langer Cup often cameos as lead story on the CM's site and they'd run 10 to 1 stories on up and coming schoolboys to what's happening in the Brisbane senior comp. They also cover GPS rugby and rowing, but similarly pay little attention to club level.

I think it tells you there's more interest in the distant future.

I remember back in his peak in 2006 when Broncos sorely needed halfback and they trialled Karmichael @ 7 in a few pre-season games.

Young me loved Karmichael back then and I was sure that with his talent, I could fast forward 15 years and he would be the halfback of my beloved Brisbane Broncos.

Turns out I was right.

... I wish I wasn't.
