POST GAME [Round 17, 2026] - Broncos vs Roosters

MM might be able to add Spoon to his resume after this season. With him continuing with this roster is where it's heading. 25 off season was the time to rebuild . This team is on the skids. I mean how many more 35+ yr olds do the brains trust at the ****ing Broncos, need to buy to even make us a competitive side again ?.Just defies logic.
You need experience to win comps tho, and we have the squad next year to win the comp. The rorters went out and signed a 70 year old, past it dce despite having a 40 year old teddy at the back because they understand this

Speaking of, the chooks are rather cooked in a year or two if they lose Walker. I Dno how they’re gonna cope with Teddy retiring as it is

I feel like Mozer is a spot player where they'll work him over due to his size for a few tackles to create momentum then play off the back of it. He's pretty slight. He doesn't seem to miss many but gets dominated a bit.

I think Paix is a better defender but even with him there we are still weak as shit up the middle. Understand Mozer's service is better but Mozer won't fix our weak middle. Billy is our best defender for our current crop of 9s by a mile. Smoothy was good too.
If we need a hooker to fix our weak middle, we should pack it up and focus on the clubs fashion label.

Better defender ? Nah .
You're the first to talk about dominant tackles. Paix doesn't do them, Mozer doesn't do them either and he's too upright. It's irrelevant when they're both shit at defending.

defending in the middle is a small part of their game that they should be alright at. But no, it's not the main part of a hookers job.

Small part ?
I wonder some times if you take psychedelics during Broncos matches

LOL .

Just concede that you greatly over stated Mozer`s abilities and maybe people will take your opinions seriously .

You're telling me that defense is more important for a hooker than being able to pass off the ground accurately, catch out markers and make the right passing decisions? I haven't exaggerated anything. Paix is ****ing abysmal, it doesn't take much to be a better hooker than him.

Also you're about 12 hours and about 171 billion brain cells away from me wanting to talk to you. **** off.

Roosters forward pack and depth is very good though. Ours on the other hand is not.

On Mozer last night, I think he would have been able to have much more impact if he came on last 10 or 15 of first half.

By the time he came on, every forward we had was gassed even more than usual as X had gone off early.

Doesn't give any hooker much to work with when you're looking at 3 forwards hands on hips as options from hooker as soon as you come on.

No ,,,,
You said better in EVERY WAY .

Which is not true . So you can relax with trying to justify your over statement .
It makes you look bad when you say things that are wrong then double down and start with personal insults . Does that work for you IRL ? Seems like like bully tactics . Make a big statement that is wrong , then abuse people who don`t agree .
You were wrong . Just own it .

I'm not wrong and I am not going to be lectured on the virtues of intellectual humility by someone who has literally never been right. By your own definition, Paix is a bad defender. Your inability to construct a simple sentence pisses me off and makes you not worth lowering myself to a response.

With all due respect, you do this too.

Remember props running at halves?

Not all missed tackles are the same, just like not all tackles are the same. Mozer was being driven back by the Roosters forwards a fair few times when making tackles. I think he has a lot of promise, but I can see why he is not first choice also.
What 9 isn't going to be driven back by those Roosters forwards? Our whole team gets driven back because our defence is so passive. We wait for the ball runner to come to us and because of that every team makes plenty of metres every set. That isn't a Mozer weakness, that's a team weakness.

No , not the same .
Me criticising a Prop for not doing prop work is not the same as saying one player is better than another in every way .

And I don`t understand how you relate the two .

Wake up to yourself .
You got it wrong . It`s OK to admit you were wrong . Consider it the 1st step .

Don't know why the conversation is about paix or mozer. Not at all relevant as to why we have been losing.

Well excuse me for creating boundaries. My rules are firm, I no longer engage with anyone on Twitter with less than 50 followers and I don’t attempt to have an intelligent conversation with people on here who don’t know how to use a full stop.

I’m also not willing to compare a few minutes with no forwards at the beginning of his career VS many years of proof of being terrible. Doesn’t seem fair

Well…Mozer had the chance to ice the game last night, but instead gave away a penalty and was ineffective in defence despite being fresh. I keep waiting for his ‘greatness’ to be shown, but it is lacking. I reckon Bukowski showed more in his one game than Mozer has in his limited appearances.

It’s a shame because I thought Mozer was good until the penalty.

How good a job did Qld do in game two on Payne- 69m in 54 minutes and 33 tackles- 0 missed.

Last night 207m in 80 minutes and 44 tackles- 0 missed.
