Can't we just declare him unfit. Surely he needs to prove his fitness before an origin match
Anyone can apply; you need to show no symptoms for days afterwards and be examined by an independent neurosurgeon.
Cat two helps him, failing his HIA doesn't- he will need to show no signs of concussion all week- Paix was cat one and still showing signs and couldn't get it passed.

Billy picked Walsh for all 3 origins in 2024 and I don't think he played an NRL game between them... might've played 1 game before game 3.

“It was pretty cool scoring there with a lot of friends, family and Broncos teammates here. I’m glad I had something to show them.”
Walters admitted he is ready if Maguire calls on him for Brisbane’s clash against Cronulla next week, but is equally happy to continue building match fitness if required.
“I suppose that’s a chat to have with Madge,” he said.
“If he needs me or wants me in there, I’ll gladly put my hand up.
“But I’m also happy building my game down here if that’s what he thinks is best. We’ll just take it week by week.”
