PRE-GAME [Round 18, 2026] - Broncos vs Sharks

It's not an unknown. You can watch him in the Queensland Cup and see how he performs. I think your expectations of him are too high.

In other words, ignorance is bliss.

Fair enough, I'm certainly not claiming to be an expert here, I'm only going on the limited things I've seen but is it fair to say you don't personally don't think he would do better than a Gosiewski or Tawha? If not, fair enough, interested in your reasons why though.

See, but I want you to claim you're an expert and take that leap. The answers are out there and you've got a good eye for talent when you actually watch them.

I don't think he'd be an improvement. Even at QCup level he's a step behind the play and looks lost at times. While I didn't think Tawha deserved a recall last week, I could at least see him getting ready for the next play. I'm often watching Bryce and he's struggling to keep up play to play. I'm watching him put kick pressure on but it's like he never actually thought to make a tackle so he just leaves a yawning gap. Good intent but now you've just given the opposition a try-scoring opportunity out of nothing.

Then physically he's just struggling to assert himself.

The choice is more him and Gale. I'm not overly impressed with Gale myself but there was an opportunity last week and Gale out-played him. He can bend the line more and is more assertive with his play.

That's just how I see it. It doesn't mean I'm right and I'm sure you could make a compelling argument for Bryce. I just want to encourage posters to check things out for themselves and draw their own conclusions.

Did you see the difference in the size of the cars? Another 5-10kmh could have done it. He nearly killed people.
The question of whether or not he nearly killed people is definitively answered in the evidence; what injuries did he cause.
The best you've got is 'oh his car was bigger'
You really are good for some comic relief on a tough day LOL

Staggs needs a simple game. The captaincy is going to psych him out and he will attempt to do more than he has to which will lead to errors or stupid plays. Certain players can lead with their actions, Haas, Staggs etc.. We need the captain to be someone who studies the rules, knows when to talk to the refs and most of all, can articulate their points to the referees. I still think giving Walsh the captaincy is the best bet. ADHD kids love responsibility.

I spoke to the couple from this 15 mins after it happened. Not a scratch on them.
To say that Mam nearly killed people FFS. Are you trolling?

He got suspended for abusing a Ref remember ?

And the cliche you used for Hunt over doing it if Captn .

I can see Walsh blowing it up with multiple errors as he tries to win it on his own if made Captn .

So what? They got lucky. I bet they would describe it as nearly being killed. And yes, another 5-10kmh could have done it.

Wow !
When did you get your masters degree in physics Tommy ?
It`s amazing what a scientist can deduce from just a few pictures .

You are familiar with crash test dummies ?
Scientists have been crashing cars for a long time now . To make cars safer in collisions .
Crush zones in car chassis and air bags have cut down injuries and fatalities dramatically .
So maybe , just maybe you are exaggerating a little bit ?

Yeah, I remember he swore on the field once. What a thug. Haas abused a female police officer, didn't Staggs also abuse a guy on crutches?

I am trying my hardest to understand what you're saying here but you don't make it easy. I don't think I said anything about Hunt as captain.

Walsh is already doing that.

oops !
I meant Staggs , not Hunt .

And on the comparisons front , Walsh not only abused a ref but also tried to be a smart arse late at night in Surfers Paradise and got caught with a pocketfull of marching powder .

Abuse the ref and get suspended . I think disqualifies you as Captn material . On field and on the street are two completely different cases .

Are players on the piss during games ? People drinking alcohol and behaving poorly is not comparable to behaving badly during a game of football wouldn`t you agree ?
