POST GAME [Round 18, 2026] - Broncos vs Sharks

Even Santa ****ed off out of here a week or so again……we are ****ed. I’m a dolphins fan for the rest of this year.

Missing 3 quarters of our spine, our best hooker and our two best forwards, going up against a side that are relatively untouched.

Not a surprise we lost.

The young guys are cooked, our forwards like Talty are cooked. The massive injury toll this year has had a big impact.

The effort is there tonight, it was there last week. Madge has NOT lost the dressing room.

Some dumb errors in the first half, some bad luck, and that last try by the sharks was lucky.

The loss doesn't concern me, it is not our year.

Mozer looks dangerous. Duffy is a genuine halfback. I have always thought Hunt more a 5/8 than a 7.

Just some dumb errors from us. Based on last 2 games, we should be so much higher on the ladder for effort.

Madge managed the bench better. I think 27 will be better.

Tonight just reiterates the crazy decision to re-sign Hunt. He’s had the keys for a few weeks now and just offers nothing. Couple of bad kicks again tonight. Time to give Duffy the 7 if Reyno isn’t ready in a couple of weeks.
Staggs offered nothing with the C next to his name, he’s continued his very poor season.
Shiba and Anderson also had a night to forgot.
There are just far too many plodders in this side. I dont see how we win another game this season.

Tell you what, if we don’t hang onto X, we are in massive trouble.
He didnt have a great game hunt. But we also made errors in almost every good ball set we had. I dont think he was as horrible as shiba, Anderson, Preston riki or staggs. Your right though he needs to win us these games somehow, even if the rest of our side are putrid, he needs to standout

Paix was walking 5 minutes after half time yet Madge leaves him on there till the 60 minute mark. No coincidence that our attack started to fire the moment Paix leaves the field.

It's over for Hunt as a starting 7. Me sitting in my lounge chair knows he isn't running and taking the line on tonight and I can guarantee the Sharks knew that as well.

The 2 new guys did ok but Shiba needs to never see another game again for us.

What killed us though was one unforced error after another after another. All in all that was a wooden spoon type performance. At the moment every team knows that they just have to get to their kick at the end of a set and we will eventually just fall apart.

A couple of players putting in effort, the rest have phoned it in. When one of your deadliest looking runners is the bloke who just came back from nearly losing his leg, it speaks volumes.

In saying that, I think we were well and truly whistled out of it at moments in that game. Felt like the Sharks were able to get away with absolute murder all night, with no consequences.

Anyway, this well and truly extinguishes whatever faint embers were slighly hanging on, that was our season.

It's pretty much been the story all year. The team that won the premiership has been dissected.

This is what a massive injury toll does. It has a very big impact on a team. You get tired, you start losing, confidence hits an all time low, it has a flow on effect on the field and players don't play as confidently and there's no magic switch you can flick to turn things around.

It's crucial to have a healthy roster throughout a season. We haven't had that.

You are blind or dumb or both!

Hope you are being sarcastic...
Lol. No need to be mean mate. The ref blew the whistle against the sharks more than twice as much. We literally conceded 5 penalties to their 10. The only questionable call being that piakura getting the HIA with no send off. That shit just happens sometimes.

Who tf watched Ben Hunt this season and thought "Yeah, let's re-sign him for another year"?!?! Whoever's in charge of recruitment and retention needs to be fired ASAP.

We're soft in the middle. We have props that don't look for work outside of 1 guy that has only played half the games, and a plodder at hooker who has 0 try assists, 0 line break assists and averages 13 metres per game, yet Madge insists he plays 60mins every game.

So many games were there to be won, but every time we lose the battle in the effort areas. Line speed, kick chase, wrestling, quick play the ball. We consistently lose in those areas.

Madge better be ready to take these boys to hell and back in preseason, he's gonna be on the hot seat from the very beginning of next season

Do you ever wonder why every fan base in the game complains about the refs being against them? You could go to the Sharks forum right now and there'd be a version of you there saying how Sutton tried to keep us in the game.
