Round 18 Discussion

On the end of an awesome backline but looks like a Dugan-like lanky tackle-breaking machine.

Obvious replacement for Stewart when he retires in 2-3 years.

They've got a few promising backs coming through too in Tom Trbojevic and Charlie Taylor.

Was a rumour doing the rounds that they were looking to move Gutherson on, wonder if they've changed their mind in recent times?

Parra back to their spoon winning "best".

Speaking of best, how good is SJ going!

Lol! Warriors score from an Eels scrum feed after winning against the feed!

They've been the best team to watch in recent times the Warriors.

Hopefully they can keep it up. No doubt the Origin season helps them immensely.

The Warriors will be in the finals, going by this performance. The Eels....Well they won't get the spoon but they'll come close.

Will be interesting to see.

They've got some pretty easy match ups the Eels - v Sharks, Titans, Raiders (x2), Knights. If they drop them, they've got nobody but to blame but themselves.

Marika Koroibete makes his Storm debut tonight.

He played a big part in Easts defeating the competition leaders last week, scoring all their tries, so will be very interested to see how he performs in the Storm system.

Of course it comes at the expense of my SVRL guy...

Only the Raiders once sadly. Other Raiders game is the Roosters. Wish it were the Raiders twice though, SJ gets at least 20pts per game against them!

Still, they should realistically make not just the finals but Top 4 IMO. Would be very disappointed too if SJ doesn't end up top pointscorer from here, particularly with Pat Richards out for 2-3 weeks!

Was actually referring to the Eels, Ari.

If they drop those remaining games then they deserve the spoon.

Oops, my bad!

Excited to see Koroibete play. Who did he replace?

Waqa

The prick.

But in better news for the Blackjacks, Fifita is due back tomorrow for the Sharks so the gamble paid off.

Some gutsy line defence there by the dogs to win the game.

Dogs just don't lie down do they, Storm got how many sets and the end that it forced Smith to take a gamble on a sideline conversion from a penalty just to level it up.

Great win for the Dogs despite missing some key players. The things that Des Hasler gets his team to achieve never ceases to amaze me.

Still not convinced of them going deep into finals, they're missing a gun back who can come up with that special play every now and then. If Barba was still there it wouldn't be him though, he's serviceable at best now.

Didn't watch and haven't read anything on Twitter or the Bai Stand other than some poster believing that Waqa and O'Neil will return to the side so I'm assuming injury.

From the sounds of it, Dogs put in a good defensive performance while the Storm had their chances but took some strange options. Key players made some odd choices and a lot of their other players just didn't step up and seize the moment.
