A few weeks ago you were spruiking that you would be 'happy with a loss provided that it was hard fought', or something to that effect.
At 18-0 down (outside of the Cobbo and Mariner shambles) we were giving you exactly that, with a decimated squad (more so than our opponents), and in the last 20 we find the energy to run harder, support in numbers with the ball, and defend with more aggression resulting in a glorious, well earned, and delicious victory.

Bruh we had Smoothy at prop. Our only real middles was Hetherington, Willison & Talty (a debutant). Hoeter who hadn’t played since 2023.

You mean last night? I think it’s understandable we started poorly with so many players out and others out of position to an extent. To me the only real disappointments were Reynolds hitting them too sweetly if you know what I mean and Cobbo playing an all time shocker.
The Dogs were depleted too but they had their entire spine and had 5 out to our 8 or 9 if you include Te Kura. They played in one of the best games we’ve seen since 2023 just one week ago as well, so it isn’t like they are playing poorly.
It’s a quality win, some huge positives out of it.
