18 months? Try the last 10-15 years plus, minus the odd season here or there. Dropping easy games has been a hallmark of our team for a long time. That, and not posting cricket scores. We don't have that killer instinct to just annihilate teams and keep getting on with the job. We switch off, the ref gives the other team a few piggy back penalties and suddenly we're fighting for the game.

I think the pessimism is drawn from it being a Sunday game. But surely the day curse doesn’t apply to night times. Right??? Right????

The pessimism comes from losing the last 3 games against them prior to earlier this year when we were in the all blacks jersey.
Moral of the story is we should be wearing the all blacks jersey whenever we play titans from now on

I don’t know, I just can’t shake the feeling that there is an ambush coming.
Whether we still come away with the win, who knows? I think Titans will try to jump us early and rattle us, if we stick with them and play direct on the back of our pack, we have points in us and can get them at the back end of the game like we did with the Bulldogs and the Sharks.

It’s because we have a tendency to lose one against them when we’re playing them twice in a season.

I can see us reverting back to our "defence is optional" and "let's try score every play" mentality tonight against the Titans. As many others have said this has all the ingredients for an upset.
The worst thing that could happen tonight will be scoring couple of soft early trys. I'd love a tough physical opening 10-15 mins to get our heads in the game and show the boys they're in for a fight.
Looking at the ladder a loss tonight plus the 2 losses to Melbourne we have yet to come really makes finals football a nervous prospect.
