PRE-GAME [Round 2, 2025] Broncos vs Raiders

The Raiders as always will look to slow the tackle, grub it up and bash us into submission, we are going to need to bash them back.

Looking forward to this game. Its going to be more of a test than the Rorters, who i think were as bad as the Titans side we played in the trials. We had the perfect game to build confidence in what we can do, now we have a game against a more competitive side who are also playing with confidence.

I still think we will win comfortably, 20 points plus.

Raiders have looked really up for it in all their games so far.

They will not be a pushover like rorters.

They looked super fit and super fast against warriors… but they lacked a little composure.

The game plan from us tonight looked fantastic… Reynolds did a lot of kicking, but Benny chimed in with some great kicking as well.

Teddy who is an elite defensive fullback was getting caught out numerous times.

Weekes up against those two… could be telling.

We completed at 84% in the wet and were at 94% early on… raiders completion rate at 69% in bone dry indoor conditions and coming back from Vegas.

They will definitely be up for this game, but for us this year it will be all about setting he platform with Payne and Patty, and putting the opposition under scoreboard pressure… then grind them into the ground off Reynolds and Bhunt’s kicking game

Hunt has made a massive difference. He takes so much pressure off Arey to not have to try to do everything its going to be huge. I'm not seeing Ezra taking that 6 shirt off him tbh unless our hookers drop form.

Hopefully Ezra takes a leaf out of paix’ book. Realise he may not get a start, work hard on his game be it in qcup or at training. He’ll get his chance eventually so he needs to stay ready.

We're a much better team that the Raiders ...

But, I'm always wary when playing them because they are the grubbiest team in the league, at least they have been in the past

100%, I was just about to say my biggest concern for this game isn't whether we win or not, but whether we get through with no major injuries given how grubby Canberra is and how hard they try to injure key smaller men - especially when they spit the dummy when they're losing.
