I'd put a fair chunk of Shiba's on Ezra... if Ezra bites in on the second rower's man then the centre is sneaking infield and the opposite centre can get outside him

Ezra has done this his whole career since Meninga or Cup, tries to overcome his physical limitations by getting up really hard and in front of everyone but just gets stepped because he's going so fast and then gets in the way of his second rower.

The defence disconnect is that no one is doing the same thing, Ezra is going up hard, some are back peddling some are turning in.

I gave Te'o credit for good scramble in the finals, but we are here again trying to win games 34-30- which to me always seems a part of his Dolphins and Broncos career.

People thinking souffs are suddenly going to win a comp with payne si absolutely wild to me...

Yes is a immortal prop and way better than keanon, but they also lose keanon and payne isnt a:
5/8th
Halfback
Generational fullback or hooker...

Name a team who has won without them, and souths have none of them to a premiership winning level.... and bennett lol... hasn't won a premiership in 16 year lol.. amazing maguire is under pressure, or do teams not play for premierships?

It seems people play for media roles and being in the boys club during and after footy.

This following article from Dan Walsh (SMH) is worthy of getting a click. it talks about the game on Thursday, but also takes plenty of swings at the NRL for the mayhem that has been created by the set-restart rules.

This is what Pezet has said about the rules:

“Every time there’s a six-again, especially if it’s late in the tackle count, it just cooks you,” Jonah Pezet, star of Thursday night’s show, told Channel Nine after being asked about the rapid ruck speed so far this season.

“You’ve got to be so disciplined now, and there’s no accountability with [a six again call] either, you’ve just got to get on with it.

“You can’t challenge anything, you can’t blow up, you’ve just got to get on with it. The team that gets the last play and the team that’s most disciplined is going to win every week, especially early [in the season] when not many people have [match] fitness.”

So there has been quite a few current and former players now questioning Sox agains and not for the first time.

I know they won’t cos they’re all paid to say nice things to Hitler but I’d really like a journo to come out and just ask him, non-confrontationally, who wanted this bought back in? Who wanted it in the first place? And ask him to produce some evidence about whatever he makes up so they can fact check.

I heard it was Ivan cleary in the "brains trust" that consists of CURRENT nrl coaches, with no ulterior notices of course... why aren't all coaches on this RULE CHANGING ****ing panel? Pr better yet... NONE

It is definitely not a professional look to not invite every coach. It needs to be all or none.

You've used the cheapest option there.

I would say in 2026 most people own a 4k TV and probably want to be able to stream across multiple devices. $10 a month more and you've got Foxtel, access to all sorts of channels and the like.
Indeed I did use the cheapest Kayo option, but I also used the cheapest Foxtel option, Now :)

You can take the digital membership at $279 and if you want, you can then pay $10 a month and get 4k and 2 screens.

I know that's getting $10 a month closer to foxtels cost but it is still cheaper, and I'd rather put the difference towards netflix than foxtel

I'm currently on Kayo at $29.99/month.
How do you get the Broncos deal at $279 per year? Do you still get all NRL games each week and the various footy shows? Do you have to pay the yearly amount upfront?

I'm a bit slow answering, bey yeah, you get the full Kayo package, just cheaper and you get to support your club.
Easy decision for me, but to each their own.
Only negative is the $279 is upfront.

and there’s no accountability with [a six again call] either, you’ve just got to get on with it.

Yep this has always been my issue with the 6 again garbage. Zero accountability. Refs can blow them and there's no time to analyze or scrutinize the infringement. Free reign to influence the game as the NRL sees fit. Complete bs and they know it.

Glad to hear a player finally say it.

I've yet to encounter a single football fan who likes the 6 again.
It's game management and game management alone, introduced by a gambling overload who has an invested interest in managing games for maximum profit.

I could stomach the shitty rule if it had accountability, until then, its corrupt.

Pezet doing a lot lately to be one of my favourite broncos

Maybe this season will convince the powers that be that without a first rate hooker you're ****ed against the best teams.

For mine, On this perofrmance it's going to be a long time between drinks - see above, and Gosiewski ? Seriously?

BTW how did the Eels go last week? Oh, right.
