POST GAME [Round 20, 2023] Broncos vs Bulldogs

That's a massive win for us given our run into the end of the year.

Basically half the starting side out today and still put 44 on to win by 20 against a team that was desperate and had something to play for with Reynolds last game.

The win basically locks down finals for us this year, gave Patty a break... Haas and Walsh have also had a decent break now as well.

Get all the troops back on deck now head back to Qld and gear up for the bunnies who will also be coming into the game desperate

Mam has hit a wall imo, he’s too quick to run and never looks comfortable ball playing. He’s always been great at broken field play & is more of a running 5/8, but I would have hoped his playmaking would have advanced a bit more by now. Sailor on the other hand looks like a much more natural playmaker.

Nice work Brisbane - though my concerns about our primary ball handlers not named Arey and Walsh remain...

Gotta upgrade at hooker...seriously....

Be nice to have Recce back next week.

1 more win should secure finals footy lads....
But tough on Walters. He scored a try and saved a try.

Good win in the end but the game had no intensity at all, which is really weird considering where it was played. Was almost park footy level in the middle of the second half.

Mam scored a try but he is not providing ANYTHING in attack at the moment. He's not putting players through holes and he's not running the ball. He's running sideways and getting tackled. If Reynold's isn't firing then we are in a creative hole.

Piakura was great today. Sailer was solid and I liked what Mariner showed in the time he was on.

I wouldn't be offering him big dollars. 1m for a 2 year extension is more than fair.

Bloody good win under the circumstances. Even the Baby Broncos are a damn good team. Reyno's best game of the season, that's an easy 3 points, Mam, Sailor and Cobbo all fighting over the 2 and 1.

If the NRL want to carry on about Cobbo's report, I would challenge it all the way to the judiciary. The knee did the damage, not the forearm.
Tino has been getting fines for breaking guys jaws... if Cobbo gets more then get the tinfoil out, because the conspiracy is real

Missing 6 rep players and still put 44 on. Signs the squad has turned a corner in fighting for wins. Thats the kind of minimum you want heading towards the finals.

Sailor, Hetherington, Piakura and Walters had an excellent impact to set the tone of the game. Reynolds took control off the back of that. Staggs and Cobbo executed on the back end.

Very good performance from our ‘under strength’ team led by Billy & Adam from the get go.

Great to see our middle stand up to the task especially, Willison whom, we m wanting to see put a great performance & he didn’t disappoint at all. Piakura, Palasia, Jensen, Kobe & Tapau all did a decent job.

Could’ve been a great performance had they not gave away 2 soft tries under the post but happy to walk away with the W.

Adam’s kicking is back which is great to see & so is Mam’s support play.

Cobbo’s game keeps getting better. His binning is absolute farce.

Billy is really great. Need him to build on today’s performance.
