Round 20 - Titans vs Broncos - Post Match Discussion

The Bulldogs halves are just as bad as ours. Reylonds isn't any better than Wallace, and Keating is just as bad as Norman. Their props (of all people) and Barba seem to make up for it though, and big time.

Well, you've compared our half to their 5/8 and our 5/8 to their half.......soooo ???

I'd take Reynolds over Wallace any day if where comparing apples to oranges.

Wallace is going backwards. I wonder why? Can't figure why is so hot and then sooooo cold

Not backwards.......just being true to his overall capability.

We will never win a premiership with Peter Wallace in the halves. Everyone pours all their scorn into the 20yr old 5/8 in his first real season in the NRL. What about the nuffy ranga veteran......surely some of you can see by now that he is just no good.

Anyway.......

Like most of you, I was really pissed off with our performance. We could have won that game. The Titans IMO didn't play so well that they blasted us out of the contest. We took ourselves out of the contest with ineffective defense and what has become lately .....the usual poor options in attack.

If we don't find something soon.......wham bam thank you maam, it won't last long in the semi final series.

The only real positive out of last night was the return to some good form by Matt Gillett.

Rightio, surely we've hit the low point of our season now and hopefully this might be the equivalent of the smashing at the hands of the Raiders a few years ago, after which we took a couple of games to get back into a rhythm and really hit top gear after that.

That's my optimism anyway.

That was also one of the most one sided commentary I have ever heard, was disgusting. Fatty and Hadley were both jizzing over the titans and whenever anything went against them they just flipped their shit. When they called a rake on Parker, which was fair enough as the hand was on the ball the whole time, they were carrying on saying "that's disgusting". Far out, could they be any more biased?

That was I think THE worst call I have ever heard. I thought Dale Husband and Daryl Halligan were bad, but compared to Hadley and Vautin, I'd listen to those Kiwi knob jockeys any day.

Someone should remind Hadley and Vautin that they are paid to call the game. Not dribble shit like they were sitting around in one of their board rooms measuring each others dick size

and Hadley acts as if he knows something about RL........he knows f*ck all about RL

The thing is we can't write this off as the boys having an off night.

Our defence was shite but our attack was worse and has been for a while.

Parker and hodges out for a few weeks, teo and hoff for a couple. We are going to struggle.

Can we please have hunt and macca on the field at the same time. From memory it produces a spark the times it has occurred.

WTF is the go with hook and the interchange!

One thing I'm having real trouble understanding is Hook's use of the bench.

Mitchell Dodds got four minutes last night - four minutes! Petero only got 23 minutes as well, despite being our best prop in the opening exchanges.

I just do not get it at all.

He had Thaiday at prop for a while as well. Hook has some strange games with the use of the bench.

i just saw the replay. i dont think he'll get suspended.

I wish teo stayed down after scoring. Video ref would've given a possible 8 point try. Not that Wallace would've landed the sideline conversion anyway (he didn't really try last night because it was pointless)

Hoffman's suspension could be a blessing in disguise. The kid is clearly playing injured and Hook has to take some responsibility for that. With our full complement of players I'm sure he'd have been given a week or 2 off. Getting him fit is crucial to our chances.

Last night was a write-off. Our lack of composure was concerning.

Yeah, I actually agree. He looks like he's hurt in every tackle, he clearly needs some time off. Hopefully it'll improve his attack too.

Absolutely. I think it might have something to do with no-one really knowing what to do and/or where to be at any given time.

Like it or not, structure is a key component of composure, like knowing that in general, you can rely on your team mates, like one always (more than less) knows that "x" will be here and "y" will be there.

Works in defence. Why not attack? This is not rocket science

Yeah let's blame the halfback who until recently showed good form for the entire season while his fb and 5/8 have been for the most part hopeless, but they're excused because they're only twenty something.

Might be an idea to swap Wallace & Norman around.

Norman's one good play came down the right.

Not a bad idea. Norman played his best game for the club at halfback if I recall correctly

It's also where he played through out his stint in the 20s.

The reason I believe Hook had him played left was because Glenn is our best edge defender. With Glenn in the centres, it'd probably be a better idea.

Who knows, maybe it's like Rocky 2 and we're just waiting for Anthony 'Mickey' Hook to yell 'NOW!' and have them swap sides.

Been watching too much Newsroom but you get the idea.

Can't believe I went down the coast to watch that crap.

Most inept attacking performance I've seen by us in a while.
