Have the Warriors actually played anyone of note? It feels like their whole season has been against useless sides.

Spanked by Melbourne. They played ok in their loss against the Raiders but it was a typical Raiders game where they dragged them down to their levels. Played the Roosters before their surge, and spanked Cronulla away but Cronulla were absolutely diabolical.

Have the Bulldogs in Sydney in a few weeks but their draw has been so blessed.

I tend to agree. I feel like 4th is borderline impossible with the Wah's soft AF draw to finish the season. Cows forward pack is diabolical so maybe if we pick up wins against Parra & Souths, we rest them for that game.

I don't like counting chickens, but happy to play hypotheticals. Best case for us if we can't finish 4th is to finish 5th. Raiders seem to have locked in first and would hammer Wahs in Canberra week one, and if we get through week one we'd play the Wahs in NZ. Not a great trip, but their injury toll is pretty rough.

I don't like the thought of having to play Melbourne of the Bulldogs week 2. Even though we have the wood over the Bulldogs they will be desperate for revenge.
NRL will be working hard to make it broncos vs dolphins week 1 at Suncorp so look out for that

3/4 of the comp is useless this year

They got annihilated by raiders in week 1.. they looked like wooden spooners after week 1 in Vegas

Ah yes, forgot about that game. I was thinking about their second game against the Raiders in NZ

Has Dylan Brown been a healthy DNP-CD? That's unusual?

If Brisbane start strongly then should be a regulation win. Can't keep digging into the well like we have in the past chasing teams.

On another note, it is that time of the year again where the Titans implode upon themselves.

I can't find out what wedge they are on, but I think the club should enquire about Beau Fermor and Chris Randell.

They would bring some much needed NRL quality 2nd row depth, means we can groom Williamson into a prop...

Fermor & Randall?

No GIF

Wrong thread... but not sure where to ask...
I don't remember...

What happened to Aaron Whitchurch?

He retired, I remember that but cant remember if it was injury related. I seem to recall maybe a neck/back issue but could be wrong. It's years ago now

Only link I found is a Facebook post from 2019 saying he’d retired, so about then I guess. I remember the same re his injuries

Yeah for some reason his name came to me...
And I thought he got injured or maybe got dropped to lower grades but couldn't quite remember hearing anything else...
No details or anything.....

Maybe he was a flat earther like Burton and fell of the face of the earth 🌎 🤔

Anyone who thinks Eels are going to be easy beats, you're kidding yourselves.

They gave the Raiders a real fight today and if they had Moses, we might have seen a different result. They had no ball in the second half and were constantly defending their line and going into the final minutes it was 22-16.

They showed a lot of effort today and they will be getting Moses back, so this is a real danger game.

We are notorious for being flat off a bye. Hopefully we're switched on from the start. I think Eels will do the same to us, but if we can stick with them we should get them at the back end of the game like we did against the Bulldogs.

Junior Paulo out for them though that’s a huge loss

I went and watched the Canberra and Parramatta game yesterday. Didn't have the best seats as it was a last minute decision however it was much closer than the scoreline suggested. Parramatta just gave up and Ricky was carrying on like they won the GF, of course.

Parramatta bombed three or four opportunities in the first half due to garbage support play (PTSD!) and JAC was tackled in the air when held up.

Their short passing game around the ruck is very impressive, and Canberra's big fellas were stressed. They just couldn't execute clean passing on the edges when they needed it late in the second half.

I'm not sure what was more entertaining. The way Parra walked through the middle of the ruck on live 5 occassions in the first half? Or the Under 12's over-exited last-pass options from the Eels after they realised they were in a position to score.

I mean - some of those passes didn't go NEAR their intended target.

But seriously..... what the hell happened to the Canberra defensive line? I didn't see Parra doing anything tricky, they just happened to discover a bunch of gaping holes to stroll through. Gaping. Like, not even looking at each other, thinking "wow mate, you missed that guy", more like "Wow, was there supposed to be another player in the defensive line" type scenarios.
