Round 21 Superhero Jerseys

Canberra Raiders with a superhero jersey.

HA!

Disgraceful.

I don't know what's worse, ISC for doing it or the clubs for agreeing to it.

I think it's a freaking great idea, tossing up buying a canberra, manly or roosters jersey. They look fantastic!

Maybe they'll be worth $$$$ in a few years. Fan boys love to collect that kinda shit!

I love the idea. Better than the dogshit Manly camo one. These will work to bring the next generation to the game, maybe even influence a kid to like their favourite character as their second team. You can't undersell that.

I just can't see how it's a bad idea, this has so much value. I really wish we had one for the Broncs, I'd buy it right now. I think I might buy one of each.

Brisbane are with Nike which is why they didn't partake.

I really like this idea. As others have said, it's a little bit outside of the box but big enough to generate some buzz unlike say those Bulldog Star Wars/Avatar jerseys which were sort of what they were.

Hopefully Souths wear their Superman jersey and the Broncos can eventually wear a Batman jersey.

Titans can either be Robin, the Wonder Twins or Aqua Man.

Titans don't even deserve Aqua Man.

Something tells me if they got a superhero jersey, it would be Flash because of Kevin Gordon.

A Dark Knight Broncos jersey would be awesome. I would definitely fork out the money for one of those.

Titans would be Arthur from the Tick.

Wolverine's traditional outfit was yellow & brown -the brown a lot closer to Manly's colour than our maroon.

Wolverines original outfit on his first introduction to the Marvel universe was mostly yellow with blue, as was his outfit when he first appeared in an x-men comic.
He donned the brown/yellow in the early to mid 80's but was back to blue and yellow through the 90's.

While the brown might have suited Manly better he is better known for the yellow/blue so can understand why they went that way. I wouldnt say the yellow and brown is his traditional outfit.

Bringing more interest and money into the game is never a bad thing. Great idea

Broncos Livestrong jersey.

Lance Armstrong.

Peptides.

That is all.

Haha Aqua Man, the most unloved superhero of all time behind Door Man, that's right there was a character who had a power cransport people into the next room, that was it.

A great concept would be to have the two teams that play each other be a hero vs his nemesis. Especially in rivalry round it could work.

Love the Roosters jersey

Captain America ftw

Yellow and blue is his "shut the hell up I was trying to justify Manly's choice" outfit ;)

So I guess you are also aware that these jerseys are all one-time Avengers?

Yeah, it only works if it's done with multiple teams on the same round. Because of licensing rights, the different manufacturers could opt for a different publisher (eg DC). Now that Star Wars has been bought by Disney, a team of Stormtroopers could be cool. Albeit cannon-fodder.
