I agree. The guys (and girls) in the middle have 2 touchies (lol) and the bunker in their ear all game. IMO it's why we're seeing less and less 'feel' for what's in front of them and how the game is actually playing out in real time. The whole bunker situation is becoming a big problem but I don't see it being addressed anytime soon, sadly. The stupidity of the 6-agains are in the same boat. I am still to meet a single league fan who publicly voices anything except hate and disgust for the rule.

The fans I suspect are becoming more and more disgruntled because of the above 2 issues, and how it actually manifests for their team in games. It's not hard to make an argument that both teams are dudded multiple times per game so it's only logical both fan bases are upset. At the end of the day the NRL only has itself to blame with their refusal to drop the shitty rules they have introduced which have turned the game on its head.

They will point to ratings though so it hasn't really affected the bottom dollar and the networks got their discounts so like it was under Greenberg and Dave Smith the scrutiny has disappeared. They can do no wrong apparently.

I think a big part of the bunkers problem is they have to have talk like they have university degrees in english trying to explain every single detail and not just concentrating on what the actual decision should be. That and employing deadshits like Chris Butler and Kasey Badger. Those two of which get the most gigs. Butler has already done 2 games this round and it's only Friday. It is astounding. Who is doing performance reviews at that joint. Clownshow.

It's any wonder most fullbacks are useless in defence these days when every method of tackling that works for their small frames is taken out of the game by concern trolls.
