We must be one of the few teams that constantly lose a penalty count in home games. Two forward passes from Redcliffe so far not called. Also a bit hard to believe that a slug like Kerr can constantly meet our attack almost on the advantage line...
Ref has been fine. The lopsided count has been all on us.

Been saying that for years. This is an entertainment product. Not a sport.
Anyone who can't admit it is unfortunately deluding themselves.
It always has been manipulated to an extent but it's gone to another level.

Nothing can explain how a team who has had the ball for the first 10 minutes doesn't get one infringement call. But has the opposite team on the ropes, to only then go onto have 5 infringements called back to back as soon as possession is received by the other team. The dolphins went from sloppy, dropping balls and falling off tackles to scoring.

That's extremely unlikely after all the defence they were doing. In fact how they were playing, dropping balls and missing tackles was exactly what you would expect. But because the product comes first the ref had to enter the game. Now we have a the tight contest expected and the ref has backed away. It's disgusting and blatant. It's not just us it's every game, so I don't want to hear about having a winge or conspiracy.

he always looks a bit like this but I think he’ll be really disappointed with his performances of late so might be dwelling a bit
Yes well he might need to dwell on getting some offloads through the middle ,**** we just keep playing this predictable attack. Fowards backing up each other looking to push up on the edges might be a concept worth trying.

I haven’t minded Hunt at 7. He hasn’t been elite but after 40min I wouldn’t be rushing Madden or Black in to take over next week. Billy on the other hand has barely made an impact. His defence (from memory) has been okay but he’s just another hooker on the field

This right here.
It's every round, every game to some extent.

We take the head of the gambling industry and give him the top job.
He doesn't give a **** about the sport, he gives a **** about maximising profit from a product, and will do whatever he can to milk every last cent out of the game.

The 6 again with no accountability was a spit in the face of every RL fan.

They can’t make meters, we just keep feeding them penalties and six agains. Tighten up and we will go on with it.
Unfortunately, I can’t see us making a dent in the finals, if we make it.

A lot of people don't want to have their entertainment ruined that way. They enjoy the suspension of disbelief.

I personally would rather it be the other way, that my entertainment was not ruined through manufacturing an outcome.

I sometimes get the feeling that all those 1-pt thrillers between Broncos and Cowboys is the reason why we see a lot of super tight games in local derbys. But really, the sport is now just designed to make scoring plays happen more often, so the crowd stays engaged.

There are rarely any grind matches anymore.

I think it's time we hire a former ref as part of our full time staff to train our players how to be the panthers and storm level of ref manipulation
