Are the Broncos the worst run 'big' team in League? All the resources you could ever need yet they have been producing largely substandard fare for decades, with the odd GF loss just to compound the misery. I thought that Donaghy fella was supposed to be a panacea to stop the rot

I personally would rather it be the other way, that my entertainment was not ruined through manufacturing an outcome.

I sometimes get the feeling that all those 1-pt thrillers between Broncos and Cowboys is the reason why we see a lot of super tight games in local derbys. But really, the sport is now just designed to make scoring plays happen more often, so the crowd stays engaged.

There are rarely any grind matches anymore.

I am someone who enjoys wrestling or did anyway. I liked it knowing it was fake. League isn't fake and the players are trying their asses off. Back in the day when refs had a certain type of influence on the game it was due to who they were. They had character and you knew what you were getting. Now it's about robots who will just do as directed and their is no rime or reason as to why you would go whistle heavy for such a short time and once the balance corrected go easy again.
