With the players we have still available, if we are fair dinkum the next 3 weeks should all be comfortable wins, based on the opposition. Maybe this week will be a grind but we still should be winning. Knights and Cows should be comfortable.

Then its Storm who are a pretty solid chance of resting players. I just want to see us keep fighting, and hopefully we can get to finals with a slim chance to do something special with maybe some troops returning.

At the end of the day though, I just can't see the GF not being the match last night. They are both willing to do things others won't and they push the boundaries more. Canberra and Dogs do it too, and its why thats the top 4 this season, but not as good as those 2 last night.

Going to come down to the forward pack and execution.

As is usual nowadays we bombed multiple tries and try scoring opportunities last week... conceding 7 tackle sets or handing the ball over and relieving the opposition defence.

Eventually you bomb enough and the opposition will jag one, and then suddenly we're behind and the team is looking at Walsh to save them and chase points.

For the forward pack we desperately need to take advantage of that opening 20mins spell of Haas and Patty.

I'd almost say that we shouldn't be looking to take the 2pt in those situations either.. unless it's to extend to 8, 14 point leads... but just not doing it for a 2pt lead. The momentum created by Payne needs to lead to points on the board.

Way too often the shit execution above occurs in the opening 20-30mins and we dont take advantage of the platform that Payne and Patty set for us... and the guys coming off the bench are then required to sustain the platform or even reverse the momentum because the backs keep bombing opportunities.

Walsh cops a fair amount of shit, but Staggs got two hands to a grubber uncontested and never looked like scoring... changing what should've been a try into a 7 tackle set. Those errors absolutely do my head in... massive momentum changers.

We all know he's only in the team because his dad is the coach and we have no other hookers. When we get a new coach and have some depth in the position for sure Billy will be dropped.

Round one Paix will prove he's the true hooker at the club and will have a great year and show he was kept down by Kevvie in the greatest injustice of all time.

Enjoyed being able to watch a couple of recent Broncos games.. And unfortunately the last Dolphins game v Roosters.

Broncos were A or A+ even, for effort in the Parramatta and Storm games I thought, just not a top 4 quality team, good to see them trying though. Apart from Cobbo on occasion looked shy around the high ball.

Reynolds wasn't good enough to get the GF iced in 2023 (or earlier when he was at Souths), so adding another few years in his legs isn't going to help anyone, signing him for another year was a brave (weak?) call, also the Hunt signing was a puzzler, what happens next year and then in 2027 with the spine? Can't have a coach with no job security making these long term calls, you need people who are good at roster planning, which it's not clear Brisbane have.

Still a team of rockstars, rather than a rockstar team. Worlds highest paid prop and anybody fancy a commute to the Gold Coast every training day? Walsh is what we know him to be, very talented and also inconsistent. He's ranked somehwere below the quality of Edwards, Paps, Turbo or Teddy imo.

I think the Dolphins are winning a premiership before the Broncos. Katoa as HB and a wealthy and well run juniors to NRL run club behind the scenes, Broncos are making positive moves but there are obviously structural issues that just aren't easy to solve.

Reynolds ran today at 60%. Not allowed anymore than that at the moment.
For the Broncs still have the hyperbolic chamber or similar?
I remember it was a big deal when they first got it back when Alf was playing and it's supposed to speed recovery.

It's hilarious isn't it. Even hunt starting 9 is a bit of goodwill due to being a qld hooker. Billy is still the best hooker at our club, regardless of who starts.

First hyperbaric chamber in the southern hemisphere I believe - or maybe the first privately-owned one, not sure. No idea if they still have it but presumably do.

Just what the Broncos didn't want to see. Trai Fuller in at fullback and Hammer center. Much more dangerous now.
